A strange and a standard story in the same time. A young virgin takes the lead and imposes on a poor hermit that stereotyped romantic scenario: she comes unwelcome, forces herself into his privacy then runs away - why I wonder - of course, he had to chase her and tackle in the mud etc etc No escape from aggressive virgins nowadays :)
Why did the story seem strange to me? Well, it's kinda *uncomplete* and unnecessary mysterious. It lacks background info about the male character, so lots of Lily's - and reader's - questions are left without answer.
I really pity the man.. he fell victim to some lil horny woman's expectations, all this with no relationship or expectations of such - so why to indulge her? He really didn't expect or want her.
But if he's a *coward*, Lily's an opportunist.
The irony of it: "Lily only hoped that she wasn’t forcing him into something he didn’t want to do. The last thing she wanted to become was a rapist". Could've fooled me :)
