Ch. 7: After reading this chapter, I'm NOT sorry to say that I'm still on team Michael!! lol. God I love this story so much!!! I got to thinking after I posted my rant yesterday about how I couldn't understand why Edward would go back, that probably one of the reasons was to confront his demons which turn out to be literally his parents. I think if you look closely enough you will find them both sprouting horns and a tails and smelling of sulfur, being the vile evil people that they are.
Review: Ahhh!!! Michael finally calls Edward while he's drunker than shit! It's not surprising after what he learned about Paula's death. However, I nearly lost it when Edward asks him if there was something was wrong!! I could have punched him!! He can't be that dense!!! Let's see, Edward left him after he came out as being gay and after Michael told him he loved him. His sister was murdered by a hit and run driver that was meant for his mother, his parents are getting a divorce because his mom has turned in a religious psycho and has told the family that he's no son of her's, and the police department he works for has more secrets and psychopaths than the mob! No nothing is wrong. Michael is just fucking peachy!!! Thanks for asking Edward! (face palm)
And I can't tell you how freaking happy I was when he told Edward he slept with Stan! Ha! Take that Edward! I hope that knife in his chest hurts reallllllly bad. And I'm not surprised Edward didn't tell Michael it's o.k. because he fucked a guy too BECAUSE he knows what it would do to him. It would devastate Michael even further. He knows how Michael feels about him. He knows what leaving Michael behind has done to him. He tried calling him several times and Michael wouldn't take his calls. If THAT wasn't a clue to how devastated Michael was, I don't know what would be!! I can't believe he is even shocked that Michael slept with someone else. He left him with no promise of ever coming back. Told him he shouldn't go to London with him then left him in tears and with an unanswered "I love you." Did he actually expect him to be celibate when HE couldn't even wait a fucking week before nailing the first willing ass that crossed his path?
And don't even get me started on his father! OMG, what a fucking hypocrite and perv he is!!! Still spending the family money on male prostitutes. Ok, I have to admit, I want him to get his sooooooo bad. I really hope the plot is going there. Edward needs justice for the hate and shame that has been foisted upon him from his father, for him being gay.
******Connorblond, I know you are probably laughing at me after reading this. And that is o.k. because I laugh a myself a lot! Rarely do I get this emotionally involved in a story so please take it as a compliment that I am this angry over what a fictional character has done!! :)

Ch. 8: Thank gawd that Michael is NOT quitting his job to go be with Edward! I was so relieved when he made that clear to Karen. He does have his pride and I would hate to see him compromise that to run after Edward. He knows Edward doesn't want him or want him there. Everything Edward has done and not said has made it perfectly clear about where they stand. Now he's on a mission to bring Robert back (or kill him.) This scares me to no end!!
Oh holy shit!!! Robert killed the female bartender!! But not before she made the call. So whomever was on the other line knows she saw the fax with Robert's face on it. The police will now be on his tail.
And Edward is such a asshole for the way he talked to Gregory. I know it stemmed from the guilt he is feeling for fucking him in the first place AND for realizing how bad off Michael truly is after speaking with him on the phone. But still! Gregory is not some whore he paid to have sex with. He has feelings. And obviously Gregory has been thinking about their "encounter" because he called him "sexy." But what he said to Gregory in response was worse than a slap to the face. He made it clear that he was nothing more than a vessel to put his cock in and that there would be nothing more between them. Which makes me happy but still! He could have went about it in a more kinder way. And because Edward AGAIN has shown he is nothing more than a selfish prick, I am now adding Gregory Team Michael because he didn't deserve being treated like that.
Now, what I am very excited about is the collision course Edward and Michael are on with ground zero being in Salisbury. Soon, I suspect that Robert will be headed there too, once he discovers Edward's dad is there. So a reunion can be expected soon (rubbing hands together) I'm very anxious to see how it goes. However, I'm not expecting it to be a warm one between Edward and Michael. I think Michael will be distant towards him. How could he not! He's laid his heart open to Edward several times now only to have it handed back to him. The only thing he has left is his pride and I hope to hell he hangs on to it by making Edward make the first moves.

thank for the triple update today! Just for curiousity, how did you come up the salisbury? The funny thing is as a teenager I spend 3 week there at a language school (my frist time going to England, but I didn't once go to see stonehenge). It's really funny that this book will take part there. World is a small place afterall.
I'm absoulutly waiting to learn more about dominic, please tell us more. I wonder how things with Cedric will work out, I think he will get an important roll in this book. I slowly start to lose an overview of/on all the characters, which is a good thing, by all means. Happily wairing for tomorrows updates!

Yes, things are heating up!!! Michael is in England. And he misses Edward. Which breaks my heart :( Davide sees Robert!! Oh yes!!! This is going to get good! Scarlet was Cedric's sister :( Robert has destroyed another family. I have a feeling that Kate is going to try and blackmail Davide about what she's read in the tabloids AND because she thinks he's rich.

*** Certainly having a great time! Never had so much fun reviewing a novel. It is not only the story but your interaction with the reviewers that makes it so much more enjoyable ***
Definitely an emotional journey for a lot of the characters in this book, even for Dave with Benedict, who actually seems sweet (I think he should read book 1 before he gets too involved :- )).
Love the phone call in chapter 6; Michael opening his heart and Edward keeping that door firmly shut. Edward is fully aware of his own faults (which is a start), and he actually believes that Michael deserves to be happy. The sad part is he actually does want to be with him and be there for him. But loosening that ‘stiff-upper-lip’ is proving a little difficult - for now?????
Very much looking forward to the meeting with Edward/Benedict/Earl – guess the one in three gay statistics was just a little off with that family!
Salisbury is not far, from where I live, and is 20 minutes from Stonehenge. Not a great place for Edward to visit however, sensory overload.
Brilliant as usual!!

Okay, I was disappointed in Edward when he left Michael to go back to England on such short notice and no "I love you", but now the As*****!
I knew this wasn't going to be clean romance, with the suspense and murder and all! But now we are faced with a new side of Edward!
But you have me hooked and I look forward to some redemption on Edward's part as Michael has gone through so much already. :(

Ch. 4: OMG! Edward is such a motherfucker! And I never use that word privately or in company so that is how pissed I am at him!!! It's bad enough he leaves Michael to take care of his family's problems, fails to say he loves Michael back even though he does, doesn't fly back to the states to comfort him when he learns of Paula dying AND KNOWS how bad Michael is off from Karen's phone call. But no!! He has to go one step further into being the BIGGEST ASSHOLE EVER by fucking his friend Gregory. I really don't think I can forgive him for his latest deed. He claims to care for Michael but he has done nothing but disprove that claim in my eyes.
Connor: I don't want you thinking I am pissed at you for where you are taking Edward's character. When I read any story, I treat the characters like real people.
