Omg, I have so many questions. And I have to run. But quickly: why don't they (Michael, Christine, Karen, etc.) get O'Neill's phone records to check the numbers to find out what boy called him?

Francesco; shit. What a horrible story. Now we know why Luciana is so fucked up. Same with O'Neill's wife. And Cuthbert's crazy ex. Religious freaks, all of 'em.

But...'Dave' knew Francesco. And wait! 'Dave' is the one who called asking Castellani if they all enjoyed his present (Nick's cut finger). But if O'Neill was the one who kidnapped him, raped him and cut his finger (horrible guy; and to think I used to like him), then O'Neill and Phillips (by association) must know who 'Dave' is. Because 'Dave' said HE was the one who cut the finger off and mailed it to the station, right?

And wtf did Castellani let Edward to see Nick ALONE????? With a crazy gunman out there watching him?

And why didn't the cops meet Mrs. Harcourt in the hospital? She never visited her son? Who was raped and almost beaten to death? By O'Neill the fucker.

Ok, I gotta pick up my kid from school Damn it.

Loved the end of the last chapter though. lol

CANNOT FUCKING WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW..... This all has to do with Castellani's family? And O'Neill and Phillips? Omg....I dream about this story, did you know that Connor? No, of course you didn't. Damn you. =)

Very captivating story! I can't wait to read more. I like it that every time we, the readers, feel like finally, we're getting a clue, you turn all our well-thought scenarios upside down. I love it how you unveil parts of the past in order to throw some light into the present. A complex story with complex characters.

Ok, I'm back. lol I read prostock69's comments and didn't realize that there were TWO Steve Cuthbert's. I did read your comment at the beginning of the chapter but didn't quite understand it. Now of course I do. But it's not a name like John Smith that millions of people have. Steve Cuthbert isn't that common. And even so, why didn't the cops realize that? They didn't even bat an eyelash when his name was revealed as Xavier's killer. Why didn't they think, "Wait! That's the name of vic #1's father!" Why didn't they even think that? They just interviewed the guy just the other day! And cops NEVER forget names during an investigation!

Prostock69 also linked Angelo's b/f Darren to the vics b/c he is a college professor. I had mentioned that a few reviews back. You had mentioned in the story that the vics were college students and Edward did get the impression that they trusted the guy or something like that. Now I don't remember exactly what was said. I just know when I read that Darren taught college, a red flag went up in my mind, thinking about the victims.

I also thought about what she said about Mary Flannery ID'ing Davy's body as Mickey Hanrahan. (was that his name?) Somebody would have caught on to that at some point, wouldn't they? And then if Davy was shot by Antonio, then what happened to him? Where has he been the past twenty years? Why didn't he come after his wife? Or am I just confusing myself?

Oi, this story is just amazing! Oh yeah, and I never thought about Karen's hunky husband as being even involved with this whole mess. I remember 'Dave' warning Castellani about those who get in people's heads.

And the whole Adam Preston/'Dave' saying "buh-bye". Prostock69; you are one smart chick! :)

Ok.....just waiting until tomorrow.....for another update......hopefully I won't flood your inbox with other scenerios! lol Or comments...or just bothering you and shooting the shit...because after all, I do have to wait until tomorrow to stop bothering you...and it's not like I have anything else to do....hahah :)

Chs. 24-26: SQUEEEEEE!!!! OMG! Ok, my head is spinning right off my shoulders!! I read the latest 3 chapters that were posted and I'm still digesting what happened.

So the twins were running a scam with their mother...blackmailing guys they had sex with. Patrick made the mistake and slept with them and when the DVD showed up in the mail, he kidnapped Nick Hartcourt w/ help - Caller Dave, raped and mutilated him (for revenge??) And to cover up his crime, he made it look like he was a victim of the serial killings which are not related!! So Patrick and Caller Dave were behind the police station being bugged, right? Caller Dave is also responsible for sending Nick's body parts to the station. But he's NOT responsible for Xavier's death or the serial killings. But he's cunning enough that he was able to track down Davey Donnelly and drop him off in front of the Police Station as a give to Edward and Michael. He also knows a lot about Robert, Luciana and Antonio's past. He also doesn't seem very heartbroken that Patrick offed himself. Why is caller Dave so obsessed with Michael and Edward having sex???

So we are left with : Who is killing the blond gay guys, who killed Xavier and tried to kill Edward and WHY??? And who Killed Father Daniele!

And I totally was elated with Michael and Edward finally did it!! Edward rocked his world! :)

LISA!!! I read your review regarding my review from yesterday :) Thank you!! You are so kind. I'm not that smart, just OBSESSED to the point where I had to read this story again and ended up taking 7 pages of notes AND made a family tree of sorts in order to keep track of who knows who and why! Then I cut and pasted all of Caller Dave's phone calls into a Word Doc to keep track of what he's said. I swear I haven't been this excited about a story in so long. It's a blast!

And how dare our kids interrupt us when we are trying to figure out who the killer(s) are!!! Luckily (or unluckily) yesterday, I got slammed with a bad cold and spent the entire day in bed with my Kindle Fire, notepad, pen and a box of tissues rereading this wonderful story! So hubby kept the kids entertained and away from me so they wouldn't catch my bug. :) It's still kicking my ass today. I'm so miserable but it's not stopping me from reading :)

I'm with Edward I don't think Lucian will change she to old now to believe differently:(

Okay, I just spent a part of my day reading your story and like the saying goes "I couldnt but it down."
So glad I started this early on a day off from work, I look forward to continuing it and glad it won't be 27 chapters and once.
A feel a good mystery has you guessing about whoduit and I have to say I totally have no idea!
Wonderful work and I look forward to reading more of "One the Line" and future books.

Sexy is what I thought of this chapter:) The truth seems to be on the horizon huh?! Blackmail. I should have thought that but I didn't. Because Rob wasn't trying to hide what his sexual preference was. So it has to be something more?! I LOVE it ^_^
