Oh my gosh! Paula took the hit meant for Luciana :( I can just see some guy consoling poor Michael throughout it all...some guy named Stan? lol. jk. ^_^ I can understand Edward's take on love though...

OMG!! Why did u do that..why did you kill her off i thought you were going to go after the mom not HER! OMG! so cruel im so shocked i loved her character omg poor Michael

Oh my god. Just when I think things might be winding down a little, or taking a short pause for the end - bam. Paula. Oh, Paula. She was an amazing sister and a very likable character. And poor Michael (and other Castellanis) - he lost his mother to prejudice and ignorance, his lover to England (and come on, Edward, please believe that he loves you!), and now his favorite sister.

This was a really intense, suspenseful, roller-coaster of a read. I enjoyed it a lot. I'll definitely be keeping up with the next book!

that was one hell of a story! i really enjoyed reading it. interesting plot, a lot of mysteries and captivating characters, thats the best ingridients for a great story. can't wait for the book 2!

I am so upset that Paula was killed (and we all know it was supposed to be her mother) and I liked her! My older sister's name is Paula too. Wasn't Paula the only blond in the family? So, why didn't the person who rammed into the car know it wasn't the mother driving? Edward sensed she wouldn't reach the age of 40, that was scarey, and then he left Michael! I am kind of pissed at Edward leaving especially when there is no love lost between him and his family. I hope a handsome British hunk comes along and goes after Michael and makes Edward jealous.

I adored this first book and am looking forward to the next one!

Me again! Okay, another thing that is irrating me about Edward is that Michael opened up and confessed he loved him and the jerk doesn't say anything back to give him hope?! Then, poor Michael gets a phone call his beloved sister was killed even before Edward's plane takes off. If Edward would have the decency to look back or look out the plane window, he would hopefully be able to see Michael running which should be difficult considering I thought he was still using crutches and follow him to see what's wrong so he can be there for him. Anyway, I was hoping they would go to England together.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

OMG! Babygirl I'm so hooked on your story I couldn't leave if I tried:) If you post one chapter at a time every other Friday I for one would still be there:) I hope you really know how much I have enjoy reading your story. It has been like fining a great book you can't put down. Then I go back to the book store and see volume two is there tomorrow! Well I see now what Rob meant by a distraction. I was afraid of this happening. When Paula showed up for the car. I thought a bomb. I understand Edwards feeling about letting Micheal spread his winds so to speak. It still broke my heart for them to part. Volume 2 has already started out with action ^_^

Oh, you fucker. I'm sorely tempted to rate this down for that cliffie.
