This story was wonderful! Somewhere in the middle of the first scene i started tearing up, haha. I have no experience with selective mutism, but i think you wrote Shawn very believably. I appreciated his growth in overcoming his inability to speak through the years. There were minor grammar mistakes here and there (is this beta-ed?) but it was a really enjoyable read. Thank you!

i really love this story. it was so well written, the characters well developed and very heartwarming. i cant help but wonder at what point ryan felt more than friendship for shawn and began to fantasize about him. it was such a sweet ending when shawn suddenly realizes his feelings for ryan. and the sex scene was somewhat limited as far as activities go but good nonetheless. i really wish the story hadnt ended at that point but it was still very good.

This was so ridiculously heart-warming it had me smiling through every chapter. Literally, in a room by myself grinning like a loon at my laptop so thank you.
It's basically the fiction equivalent of a victoria sponge cake - light and fluffy but utterly delicious and satisfying to boot

OMGOSH I don't think I've ever gone through a full story where my mind is screaming some form of "BABIES" or "CUTIES" or "PRECIOUS". This was just so beautiful! I absolutely adore their entire relationship all throughout and the character development was wonderful. Thankyou thankyou thankyou~ for writing this masterpiece and posting it up! Omg everything about this was so perfect.

Aww, this story was just so sweet! What a wonderful romance of these two boys as childhood sweethearts. I'm not ashamed to admit that I caught myself tearing up several times throughout ((Poor baby Shawn!)); then I found at the end I was crying again, but thankfully with happy tears. I wish I could find more stuff on AFF like this. Keep up the great work!
