This is great. The characters are unique and i love that the world is slightly AU. It adds a lot of extra excitement, cant wait for more!

London, London, London. I just found this awesome story and read the summary, wondering if Sam was the Sam from The Boy With the Golden Eyes. I'm so glad you're continuing with this series. Of course I still have to read the Exit stories, lol.
I feel so bad for Sam I want to take him home and hug him to death. Poor kid. And he finally reached the orphanage only to find out he just missed Jack by a few days.
Luckily he found Fran; Fran seems nice, not like he's going to take advantage of Sam. Not like Mother. Wasn't there a Mother in the other story, when the boys had to fight? Was it Frank who said something about owing Mother money? I don't really remember, but the name sounded familiar.
Ok, well, can't wait for the next chapter! :)

Really bad timing for Sam, here. I felt really bad for him :/ And now I'm even more worried for him. This guy, "Mother" seems like bad news. Very sly, asking those questions, too. I'm glad you're writing Sam's story here; he's definitely becoming a favorite for me, and I'm interested in seeing where he ends up, etc.
I'm curious as to what this guy is planning... in exchange for giving him a place to stay... nothing good I'm sure. I can tell I'll dislike him. Hopefully I'm wrong on my hunch, but... he just seems bad.

Ch.1: I really like this story so far. I feel really bad for Sam for having to run away because of what his father caught him doing. I'm looking forward to seeing where Sam ends up.

Not a bad first chapter. One question, though - are you going to set this in modern times? Because it reads more like something from the 1930's or 40's. I'm just curious.

I like this so far :) I can tell I'm really gonna like Sam, too (already do pretty much). I like how you write dialogue---very smooth and realistic. And I love how you built up the scene; at first it was as if the guy was gonna kill him/hurt him. I definitely believed it for a second! Anyway, can't wait to read more.
