Poor Sam, getting into it with Ed. And poor Fudge; what a hangover she'll have in the a.m.! :)

Oh, I noticed a typo: when the people were helping Mrs. A. into her house, you wrote: Sam was aware of a forth person coming to join them. It should be fourth, not forth. Unless you wrote: Sam noticed Ed come forth to join them. lol

Anyway...looking forward to more! :)

Loved the part with the parrot. I'm parrot sitting right now and this guy says "Hi Guys" everytime you walk in the room! Really cute!

I feel bad for Fudge; always waiting for her mom and always being disappointed. I hope her mom doesn't disappoint her again.

I like the name Edmund. But Ed's fine, too. I wonder if Ed is gay... hmm. Sam seems interested at least. I'm hoping we get to meet both Fran's boyfriend and his sister---who I already dislike. Dumping her daughter onto her brother? Wrong. Reminds me of this person I knew who dumped her baby onto her boyfriend's grandparents while she lived with her boyfriend's parents... without paying for anything (they were afraid she'd take custody from the daughter which she threatened many times). Anyway, so far I don't like her. And I wonder if she did indeed lie to Fudge about her father? Hmm.

Thank you for updating so quickly. I've yet to figure out which days you do, or if they're random. But I'm very glad we get frequent chapters. This story is really coming along and I actually like it better than Exit (the first story; I didn't read the sequels).

Victor does seem ok; he didn't hurt Sam at all and he seemed to know what Sam wanted. I just hope he doesn't take advantage of him later on and hurt him.

Hey London, good to hear this story will be a bit cheerier (I hope; that's what I interpreted the end of your A/N). It's bad enough Jack broke Sam's heart when he got sent to the orphanage, then he broke Exit's heart when he joined the military. Well, maybe Sam and Exit could meet.....lol. Ok, no. They both belong with Jack. :)

I do remember Elodie being one of Mother's girls; I did remember the name from back then. And it was Fletcher; right, did I write Frank? lol Can't remember.

It's good Fran found Sam before Mother could sink his nasty claws into him.
