I just discovered this and don't think I can wait until Monday to read more so I can find out whether or not Payton's friends come to his rescue and his Uncle goes to jail for child abuse.

Great chapter but very sad and I hope Payton can find peace and be able to leave his uncle to live on his own. If his parents left him a trust fund, maybe he can start over.

Poor Payton. I'm enjoying the story. I would love to read more.

Good chapter but very sad and I wanted to cry for the life Payton has to live with his horrible uncle with no one to love or protect him. He's so very lonely, he's so pitiful and sad.

This is one of the best stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading around here and it tugs at my heart.

I am wishing my life away by wanting Sunday's to arrive sooner so I can read another chapter of this and ever time I read the end of a new one I keep wanting to click 'next' to read more.

Oh my gosh, I knew Payton's Uncle was a cold hearted SOB but this really takes the cake. I am still upset with Kane too. He was waiting for Payton to apologize to him after what he said to him in the room that day! Doesn't he realize how his cold words hurt Payton?! I am thinking Payton left the broken tape under his pillow and I hope Kane finds it then talks with Bryce and Addy, and that sucker Jordan.

Oh, I think you meant to type; Monday, Dec. 16th not Dec 6th, as to when to expect the next update.

I really adore this story so very much and hope you will consider writing another story once My Lovely Enemy is completed.

I wish that Kane would stop being so stubborn and am thinking he's now possibly coming around but is it too late for Payton before he becomes too physically and mentally damaged by his uncle to be helped. I keep praying Kane will come charging up on a white stallion to rescue Payton from his study/punishment room in the tower/attic and take him away from his cruel uncle. At this point, even if Kane learns the truth about what happened how can he save Payton now?

Dude, I was just reading over all your fantastic reviews for this story and noticed over time that there has been a drop-off of some of the reviewers and I think it's due to the laps in your updating schedule from the beginning to now. Don't get disappointed by that it's just probably because they thought you gave up on the story or something and they forgot about it due to lack in regular updates. You do seem to be on track now with weekly updates so I hope that continues.

Now, on to my own review. I wish that Kane would put two and two together about how Payton was acting the first time he met him, the bruises and all the signs he was displaying of being abused and know it's his Uncle doing it to him. I wish that Addy and Bryce who were even closest to him would have figured that out.

I wish all three of them would go visit Payton at his Uncle's home and find out something is wrong then save him. Oh, is Payton of legal age yet (I don't remember) and if he is why doesn't he leave or let his Uncle know he won't take it anymore?

Please, please I wish you could update more than once a week to make up for the previous long lapses in updates.
