I really hate Payton's uncle, Lucius, right now and want to hurt him for hurting Payton! I hope that his new friends can help him but he's got to come clean with them about the abuse and what his life at 'home' is like. I think that Kane has to try and earn Payton's trust too and not push or scare him.

Awesome second chapter! The flashback part when Payton was at home but snuck out then got beaten by his dastardly uncle was so sad and I am worried about that creepy pervert guy (Mr. Bramwell) that has set his sights on Payton. I hope when he has to go back home for the holidays that nothing bad happens!

I LOVE Addy!!!!! He's too cute and it was awesome how he stood up to Kane but then hid behind Bryce's back and stuck his tongue out at him, LOL. I just love that he was wearing pajamas with puppys printed on them. I have a pair with puppie on them too for the winter!

I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed both chapters so far. I hope you keep updating! I hate starting good stories that never seem to get past the first few chapters. I think you have a winner on your hands with this one so keep with it! I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Ch. 1: Just finished chapter 1. I really like this story so far. I love how Winborne Academy is in a mansion. It sounds just beautiful inside. Payton is adorable. Kane sounds like a handful and pairing these two up is brilliant. I take it Kane came into the room dead tired and collasped on the nearest bed as usual not knowing that Payton was in it. That's too funny. Makes for an awkward first meeting of roommates. Addy, the elfish redhead, sounds cute as hell too. Bryce is the responsible one out of the bunch. Overall, I love all the characters so far.

I'm really looking forward to the next chapter.

Great story and I am hooked on it already! Something tells me that Payton's parents may have been done in my his uncle, but not sure yet. It seems suspicious though about their death.

A nice start! I've always loved boarding school stories, but yours introduces a different aspect in that this school actually uses corporal punishment, indicating that it is not such a happy place. The characters seem interesting, as well. Looking forward to reading more!

This is a wonderful story! Please post the second chapter soon! I can't wait to read more. There was a point in the story, when you were talking about the "headmaster's continence". I think you meant "countenance" lol. Incontinence is when you wet the bed a lot, I'm not sure if continence is something like that too lol. Other than that I didn't notice any mistakes but it's possible that I was too caught up in the story lol :P
