I find Lorenzo's growing confidence intriguing, and I find myself curious as to his past. Why is he so insecure in regards to Tulie? Granted you've stated she's younger than he - young enough to be his daughter, in fact; but I'm still quite curious as to why he seems so surprised by Tulie. I like how you focus on Lorenzo's reactions, but I do also find myself curious as to Tulie's. In this piece, she's laughing a good deal more. I don't get the impression that she's doing any of this out of malice, so I find myself wondering as to the background between the two.
