What an intriguing work! And on so many levels... The topic. The style of writing. The realistic scenery. The pychological background. The description of Ryo's feelings and thoughts. The character-development, seen through the eyes of the protagonist. The amazing way the reader experiences the unreveling of the plot behind Ryo's experiences. And more... Most of it has been praised in earlier reviews, or at least is obvious from the passionate replies.

One point I would like to add: Someone wondered about the reason Brennan is attracted to Ryo. Isn't it obvious? The events made Ryo to the one person whith whom Brennan can be completely relaxed about himself. He doesn't need to keep up appearances neither as businessman - since Ryo knows about his mobster position anyway - nor as mobster boss - since Ryo is no part of the organisation (in opposition to Blainn). And since Ryo is in no position to use his knowledge or reveal it to others (be it police or other mobsters), Brennan is as save with him as with no one else - and just to be able to be himself when together with Ryo must be a major part of this attraction, and explains why Brennan is willing to invest quite some time and money into continuing the relationship.

And I think you show this beautifully by the way you describe Brennan's facial expressions when looking at Ryo, already a few days after their first encounter: open, clear, curious, relaxed, surprised... Totally different from the way you describe Brennan's expressions towards his subordinates, or Blainn's expressions towards Ryo.

A fascinating story which I am sure is worth been published.

Just finished reading chapter 7. Ryo is in a pretty confusing situation, that is for sure! I like to read about his thoughts. What I perhaps started to wonder, or was tiny bit bothered, was how calmly he just goes to having sex with his captor after talking about his death and basically Breannan's answer confirmed that 'yeah, you probably die, but it won't hurt much' Well, perhaps it does calm him, if he thinks he's going to die anyway. Otherwise I really like how well you describe everything!

I like the chapter tittles, yes Ryo is totally heading to Stockholm syndrome :D I suppose Breannan is also developing feelings to Ryo? I don't think he will be killed :) I still like Blainns character, I think he is my favorite in this. And i look forward of finding out more about Breannan!

What can I say? A perfect ending to an enigmatic story.

The ending, could have left me pondering the question - What next?

However, it did not, and the message for me at the end is, ‘whatever happens next, happens’. They are where they should be and nothing in the immediate future will change that. Brennan is no longer ‘hiding’, Blainn will get a gift (courtesy of Ryo), and Ryo will be where he believes he really wants to be, therefore, making the ending not an ending but a prompt for the future.

I loved this story. You already know that, and it's bittersweet that it's over. I love that it still had somewhat of a mysterious ending, I wish we could have seen Blainn one more time, but all in all, great job!

that was such a cheesy ending, ahh, I kept thinking in the back of my mind that there actually was something between Ryo and Blainn

My hopes are lost at sea, but oh well. The marriage thing set me off, wasn't expecting that, 's was like, my mind had a mini explosion, when I just got that part. But oh well, like Brennan or Blainn said in the middle of the fiction, nothing ever goes our way, or something like that.

But overall, goddamn, this was a lovely fan fiction, was sad, frustrating, confusing, depressing, annoyance, more frustrating, and the list goes on. I enjoyed it, plus, the fact that Brennan had a fetish for noises,moans and he's a mobster too, well then... *wink, wink*

P.s. your sex scene are very..... sexy ;)
and please do, make an epilogue and a bonus chapter, but if it involves Brennan getting married and getting it on w/ his future wife, it's a turnoff and I will not come back again... lost @ sea foreverrrrr ~,~ Just kidding, I will never get lost at sea, I will always, always have a PC with me to read more of them sexy sex scenes.

wahhh I am all in a mess... that was too sweet an ending. Ryo and Brennan and too much wonderful sweetness and now I feel like a mumbling, incoherent mess so I'll do my best to say what needs to be said. Amazing that I haven't read any of the other chapters since my big day of reading it in all one go... and there has been a lot of Real Life since then and yet I go to read this chapter and i am immediately back where i was, the moment i left of reading... still in that confused state, not knowing how to feel about them... and I am still like that, I still am so undecided about Brennan and this relationship... but that is sort of a good thing. the ambiguity of it all, just like Ryo concludes... amongst it all there is some truth that he can cling to... and he is okay with that... and I am okay with that too...
oh! it was really well finished! (though finished seems to absolute and final for that ending... i feel like Ryo and Brennan are still going on lol)
I liked how you wrote about stockholm... perfect way to round it off
when ryo realised that Brennan was keeping him safe.. oh! so sweet and gorgeous!!
and i loved that Ryo has his power back... cutting through Brennan's mind fuckery

The only thing I am unsatisfied with is the marriage...??? Ryo just accepts it? I know it is just a business marriage but still... oh well... if Ryo is fine with things then I am fine with things...

Hi there, just finished reading chapter 4 and thought I'd pause to review. So far I've enjoyed the story. I wonder what the place really is where they keep Ryo. I like Blainn's character, tragic past, weird guy, interesting guy, who seems to be capable of being considerate and good and then go off slashing people with his knife 0_0 Heh. Brennan (I'm sorry if I spell the names wrong) I am not sure what to think of him, so far seen so little of him, I wonder how long he's intending to "tease" Ryo before, well, you know... Ryo's confusion is written well I think. Oh and I liked how you wrote his thoughts, as he was passing out, smaller font the closer he was to passing out. Will continue reading now and review again later ;)
