Well the start of this chapter was interesting. The middle was terrible, scared the heck out of me to think that Phi was going to do that... I understand her reasonings and sure as heck would likely do the same thing in her case *If the Queen ever chose me that is*, but at the same time I see a huge lack of understanding, though it's hard to say who from. Phi could be easily blamed for letting all the saddness she felt and all the negative ideas take over her rational thought or the Queen could be blamed for taking Phi to the barn, showing her all the old stuff that should just sometimes be locked away and hidden from all eyes. Since I can't pin the blame on either, I'll just let the idea go and wait to see if something else pops up along the way.
The ending was almost comical and hopefully showed Phi that enough is enough. The White Queen will not take any more of her gruff. But it also showed me that despite the awful thing Phi almost did, Sidja has learned more about Phi, which likely made Her Majesty happy. Plus the comments at the end make me wonder just how far Sidja is going to go with changing Phi from her current self into whatever self the Queen has imagined. It's going to be quite a blast to read, so I'm looking forward to it.

I decided to look at the original stories on this site and stumbled upon yours and I wanted to say it is one of the best stories I have read in a long time. The characters are very believable and it makes you want to know more about them as individuals and their dynamic together. I like that the “Ice Queen” is letting down some of her walls to Phi, whether it is intentional or not, it's what Phi needs in order to cope or understand the Queen better. They both have expectations of the other that aren't exactly correct, but they are finding their way. I can relate in a way because I have a pet myself and it takes more than overnight to create that lasting bond. I very much enjoy your story and style of writing, I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Cooooool. It's like one of those songs you hear when you're really little, it sticks in you forever and you can't ever quite remember it, but there's a solemnity to it whenever you think of the bits you can recall. This was like that, I can't think of the word but it's there somewhere. Keep going!

I have never left a comment on any fics I've read on this site. I've been frequenting this website for a few years now, but something compels me to comment on yours. I feel like I must tell you that your story is the best I've read by far. It makes me feel so many emotions and your writing is simply brilliant. I encourage you to write more, I love this story.

nice chapter, I'm loving how through the progression of these chapters these characters seemed to be evolving. The queen divulges more emotions, aside from her quick temper, it's like Phi is stirring the pot within her. If any of that made sense, trying to give useful feedback. Any who lovely chapter keep up the good work.

I'm rather honored to give you such an insight. Now onto the chapter review.
It was such a different change that it really rather surprised me. I expected another crap moment, and sorry but that's just how I feel, of tied up teasing in her Majesty's bedroom, but you went a totally different way and gave so much more life to Phi. Phi is just, so very human. Closing off the experiences and things that don't matter, but clinging onto the small things that can bring a person joy. But Her Majesty outshone Phi once more with an even bigger display of the humanity she seemed to lack. For so very long she is just the Queen, a ruthless cold ruler who has to maintain a certain amount of bitterness and well, grace of a goddess, for lack of better words. But in that place, that little barn in the woods, it was certainly as good a place as one is going to get. I guess I have a small hope that maybe, just maybe, Phi and Her Majesty will suddenly vanish from the castle and escape to somewhere quiet and far away. But eah...
The end of this chapter was also hinting at the slight change in feelings. Perhaps this will last forever, or perhaps it is only tempoary and as soon as Phi realizes she is back in the castle she will revert back to whatever she was before. But despite all that, I respect Phi a lot more now. She is just trying to find a way to survive and that is simply beautiful. From here, it's really hard to say where it's going to go. This feels like a critical time, where things are still as make or break as the last chapter when the Queen screwed up.
Seriously looking forward to the next chap. Good luck and thanks for writing.

Oh how I dost verily love you. It seems as though you are writing to appease my very soul. The eccentricities and twists and turns of emotions, memories and revalations are so easily revealed that I can't help but fall deeper and deeper in love with Sidja while at the same time increasing my distaste for the man with the blue sleeve (I refuse to use his name, how I hate him.)
Including the similarities between Phi and Sidja and how they are both seemingly falling for each other (I can see it happening, you're that good) gahh!
Waiting patiently for another update.

I liked this chapter a lot, the emotions and interaction between the two just flow nicely and nice treat at the end telling us the name. Sweet chapter, keep up the amazing work.

Wow... just wow. I love chess. It is such a brillant game. But that aside, this chapter was epic. It just felt like this was gonna be the end, that things were going to fall apart like sand on the beach when the water washes over it. But good old Phi didn't want it all to go to waste, while Isadj just fell apart. Amazing how quickly she did fall apart too. *chuckles softly* Sorry. Anyways, the later on little banter between the Lord and Isadj was interesting and you get a real grasp on how close Averring is to doing something stupid. I'm rather hoping that at some point he fucks up and then Her Majesty or Phi kills him. But Averring... he really is quite an asshole from my view. He's certainly jealous, yes. That's what makes him appear to be an asshole. That aside, I hope Phi beats Her Majesty one day. I think that will make the both of them rather happy.
Thanks for giving us Her name finally. I hope She knows I mean no disrespect by using Her name. Tis just that way I do things unless told otherwise.

What a tease you are! Glad to see the story progressing and this lord he seems rather desperate for the queens affection. Hope he doesn't try to do anything to Phi. Because I love the queen's choice to have Phi around.
