Good story. I like the fact that I don't know whats going to happen next and I can only guess, that makes me want to read more. I was reading some of the previous reviews and I also think it wasn't mentioned how old Colan is, I guess somewhere between 15 and 19 but thats only a guess. I read some one else asking about whether Mist knew about the storage place; I think its obvious from the story that he doesn't so that wasn't unclear for me. I also read that someone thought Seff set Colan up; again I think its obvoius from the story that he didn't since he unexpectedly got captured himself and Colan is one of the ignored so he isn't so important that some one would set him up. good original story line and a few sentence errors can be fixed later on. looking forward to read more.

Hi! I love this story so far! A few questions, though, some might be explained in the next couple of chapter and some might be dure to that late-night hurried writing... ;) First, the sentence;"I say crimson because the space was dimly lit and smelled like the ruins of the city, ..." I thought Crimson meant "red"... a deep red color... I'm not english, though, so it might mean something else/more, but with th meaning "red" it sounds a bit weird... ;)
Secondly, how did the "guards", or whoever they were, know Seff's name? I know Seff said he used to work for the rulers, so maybe he used to work for/with these exact people and they recognized him? I know you wrote that it was the City Leaders that discovered them but I'm not sure if... aaaargh, I don't know, I think I have to re-read a bit of this story, because I thought the Leadres were just a handful of people, but maybe the whole community who are better off are called that? I'm sorry, that's my bad, Maybe I've been READING in the middle of the night which isen't much better than WRITING in the middle of the night... ;) THe third thing is also something I should re-read before asking about, really, but when Seff talked about the "place" the first time, it sounded like Mist knew about it... I might have misread it but I faintly remember Seff saying something like "hasen't he told you...?" or something, like Mist had a secret and I thought the warehouse was that, first... but, again, I have to re-read.. ;)

How old is Colan ?
I read the first chapters again and I can't find his age...
