ow, he's breaking. don't want him to turn in to a puppet, with no emotions whatsoever. he has to recover, regain his strength and then show some defiance as well as give his piece of mind.
I'm so relieved he wasn't tortured: once was enough. still, he has to find out how much he can get away with and what's the line he souldn't cross, so I foresee more punishments in the near future.
in this chapter Vasco appeared as firm, cold but not cruel. he gives the impression of an intelligent person, who thinks ahead and knows human's nature wery well: he surely knows what buttons to push to obtain the desired affect. so I have no doubt he'll be able to tame Col in no time, without Colan even noticing. somehow Vasco reminds me of a chess player. calculating and potentially letal.

I think I believe Vasco when he says, that Seff isn`t dead.
But he keeps Colan, because they can`t turn him loose?...bullshit.
I hope someone treats his wounds, before they get infected.
At least give him a blanket or a dog basket...tz.

Vasco is so evil and I'm loving it!
Sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the editing so much. I'm always hoping that the author is enjoying writing as much as I'm enjoying reading it. But I understand why editting would not be fun since the creative part is gone and now you are stuck with the mechanical aspects of the work. Anyways, I hope you keep posting the chapters since I would be devastated, at least for a while :), if I don't get to read the rest of this. Its hard to find fiction that peaks my interest and this is definitely one of those cases.

another great chapter!!!! wonder what a new day will bring Col.
I'm curious about Vasco: he's really mysterious, so it will take time for him to warm up to Col. in this chapter little space was dedicated to him, but that's totally understandable. however, the chapter was very detailed and interesting all the same: we could see Col's reactions to this new reality, also you described his surroundings AND you set up some sort of routine. so I expect the next chap. to be full of action. ;)

I am a little bit speechless lol that doesn't happen usually! :P I really don't know what to think of Vasco?!!! seeing Colan's condition and not only doing anything about it but adding more pain!!! O.o
He is sending mixed signals and I can't determine whether he is telling the truth or he lies! It seems he was surprised by Colan's question that wasn't about his situation but concern for someone else! I can't imagine him just lie to not break Colan's heart!!! According to him, they can't let them go and they do not want to kill kids, so they do kill adults! Another option is he lied about killing the kids stuff! He just wanted to kept Colan and made up this lie! but I guess my first guess is more believable! Seff is dead, isn't him?!

Sorry for the late review AGAIN! :P very busy long weekend and back to school and all ... @.@
Vasco, Vasco, Vasco ... I am trying to get used to the name! The name itself is intimidating! O.O and I think I am as afraid of him as Colan is! and Vasco was as ruthless as possible! I mean I guess! Is he going to get worse?! O.o
and poor poor Colan! My mom had a small surgery two years ago. A small incision on her palm and it got infected! She was on intravascular antibiotics for almost two weeks in the hospital ...
Now I don't know how Colan can recover from this brutal beating! :( and man! he is starving and cold ... and I know Vasco wants to play with him, I just hope he treat Colan's injuries before get rough again!

You gave us a little bit of info about Colan as well that he is Seventeen!!! To be honest I was surprised! O.O I thought he might be younger! Less than fifteen! He was so naive and innocent that I wouldn't have guess that he is 17 years old!!!
