i really don't get vasco. how is physical punishment supposed to make him want to eat? especially when he's still stressed out and nausious.

I'm totally trusting you that there will be some light at the end of the darkness, then I can revel in all the hurty torture-y goodness. I was happy Vasco saved our boy from Vic; does he even know it was Vic the first time? Thank you so much for such a good chapter again.

I love this story so so much (and Forgotten too).I was surprised that Rio was Vasco's brother, only because of the scene where he was talking about how he didn't think he'd be coming by since Vasco now had Colan. Glad about it though, because I was feeling sorry for Rio.
Vasco is such a dick, but I'm sure you know that! I think his tiny, tiny conscience (or at least his whole thing where he thinks he's some honorable guy compared to a thief) actually had a twinge when Colan was asking how much longer he'd have to pay for his crime. Vasco should just admit he wants Colan and he's never letting him go.

Chapter 14! or 15. LOL I've finally caught up! Colan getting stuck between the bitter Vic and justly Vasco sucks. Poor Colan being mobbed by those guys cause they need to assert their dominance. Interesting how the story is going and I'm very interested in how Mist and Missy are doing with Colan in gloom and doom mode.

Thank God that Vasco came back in time to stop that asshole Vic from raping Colan a second time. I was happy that Vasco didn't blame him but am mad he seemed to let Vic get off way to easy. I still want to know whether Vasco is aware that Vic was one of his men who raped Colan. I love Rio and it was interesting to find out he is Vasco's younger brother because I thought maybe they had been lovers at one time. Rio seems to generally like Colan and is trying to help him. I don't think Rio was mad at Colan but it was anger directed more at his brother. I am glad that Rio told Colan that Vasco did not give Vic permission to attack him like he did but wish that Colan had confessed to Rio that it was Vic who had hurt him. I really hope that Vasco doesn't beat Colan because the kid didn't do anything wrong and doesn't deserve to be punished anymore because he suffered enough already. Thanks for updating so fast and not making us wait forever plus I am excited that you seem to be motivated to finish Forgotten too.

Does Vassco know that Vic and those other guys were the ones who raped Colan? He had to have some idea, from the way Colan reacted to Vic.

the silence was oppressive: towards the end of the chapter I became edgy as much as Calom was.
glad you avoided another rape scene, even without the act the stress and anxiety of it almost happening got me chanting (with C. together) for Vic to magically disapper.

He knows who did this to Colan ! And he left the man alone with the boy !!

It's cool to learn about Vasco and his brother !
They have a sad past, with the war and all !
But I really thought that Rio was a past lover...

also, I wanted to say that I love this feeling of anxiety I get when reading your chapters. it means the story is unpredictable and I can sympathize with the characters enough to worry about what could happen next.
I love the mixed singnals Vasco gives off, because they mark his as a complex character with conficted emotions.
