I've been meaning to review for the longest time and I wanted to let you know that this is one of my favourite stories on the site currently...which naturally entails me obsessively checking AFF at all hours of the day, hoping for an update. The chapter length is a little too short for my taste but that is because I constantly want MORE of it. :) Dres is going to add an interesting dimension to this and I really look forward to reading more about him and Jude. Operation Make Perry Jealous? Hell yeah!

hehe I actually stopped being uber lazy and signed in to review! Sorry, but before commenting on your story may I suggest if you lifted the 'log-in' only thing from the review it would encourage all of us lazy people who'd like to review but don't usually take the time to log in and review--it's terrible but yeah.
ANYWAYS, I really like this story! I like your style and the writing just flows and the pacing is right and the characters really 'pop'! Ooo I'm also a sucker for the unrequited love scenario deal as well :). I'm really excited to see where you are taking this and delighted to learn this will be a looong story XD! Oh and I creeped on your account and I'm going to put your other story on my reading list. BTW I FRIGGIN' LOOOVE 'Chopped' and zombie movies too (but sometimes it's hard getting people to watch them with you sadly enough :/ ) XD!! Thanks for the story and hope to see more from you :)

The way you ended was perfect. I'm actually not sure who he's going to end up with, Perry or Wes. I really liked this chapter though and you could anticipate that that was going to happen between he and Kitty at some point- though I wasn't expecting it so soon.
Jude really is kind of thoughtless though and he really should still apologize.

Another great chapter!
In spite of all his insecurities and rough, rude, sometimes even cruel attitude I find myself liking Jude more and more. I love seeing the cotrast between his antisocial, grumbly behaviour on the outside and loneliness and vulnerability on the inside (btw. I may have missed it somewhere - how old Jude and Perry are?).
In addition, the cliffhanger really got to me as I can't wait to see more of the new boss. Seems like an interesting guy so far, haha and maybe some competition for Perry;)
All in all I LOVE your story and I'm already starving for more.

Awesome. I actually laughed out loud when I read that last part. Am I sensing interest between Jude and Dres? Well, I'm sure no one will miss the chef that got fired. Good chapter, your formatting is a bit odd though.

Good for Jude! Oh, I noticed what I think was an error: when Jude was thinking back to the old man who owned a store on the corner where he and Perry used to go over the summer, he said he went every day of the summer with Jude, I think he meant to say Perry.
Anyway, great chapter! Now Jude can show these other chefs in the new restaurant what's what! lol :)

Chapter 1: Ooh, this sounds really cool so far. Is Jude an actual chef or someone that just cooks well? It said in the story that he was practically a house wife. I like your description of Perry, it's cool when people look like people- if that makes sense, though pretty people are nice too. It must suck to be in love with his best friend but I'm guessing Perry is pretty fond of him too. I'm going to read the next chapter now.
