This really fits in the 'short and sweet' description. It's a seriously interesting take on the two, and it does remind me honestly of an old Twilight Zone episode; where an old woman, after witnessing her son and husband die, decides to shut herself off from the outside world believing it's where the angel of death would likely find her out there (and of course, it turns out the angel of death turns up at her door, and surprises her by being kind and understanding). Anyways, this is a really refreshing take in another form of a relationship between the two characters, and the build up is really nicely done! Especially in the POV of your heroine. It isn't boring, it's still a smooth and easy read. Seriously, I really liked this fic, 5 stars!
