Boyd's grief is written so well that I can FEEL what he's feeling. I feel the lump in my throat, the ache in my chest and wanting to CRY. Words can't express how fantastically written this is. Boyd's sorrow especially. I can really feel his pain. And I found myself jumping on the bandwagon with him! I also think Hsin is still alive! My own theory, is that he disappeared because of The Reapers. I think they are STILL experminting on him, keeping him as a guinea pig to test things out on him. And I REALLY hope I'm right, or I'm at least HALF right, (THAT HE'S ALIVE). I want it to be true SOOOOO badly, it's scary. Thank y'all for all the hard work and making wonderful chapters! I appreciate everything you guys do!! Til next time...

Well, I'm hyped about the twins. I kinda like these new characters as they're distracting from the pain of Sin being gone, at least a little bit. And twins are always interesting. I just don't understand what they're going to do with Jordan if Emilio comes back, and I'm really curious of how Bex is gonna react and how these girls work things together etc. Yeah, I was a bit disappointed that they seem to be such dickheads and are also pets of the new boss, but maybe they can offer something interesting to the story. Glad to get some Emilio and Carhart, and Ivan too. I wanted to know more about The Reapers and now we're gonna get it, hurrah! I also think the balance is good between Boyd's grief and determination, and I'm praying he finds some real lead on Sin's whereabouts next time. It kind of hit really badly when I imagined Sin waiting Boyd at his place and Boyd never coming back... I think the story is building up really nicely and honestly, it feels like coming home. I missed these characters so much!

I was so excited to see the next instalment of this story! I only regret that I don't have enough time to start all over and read it all from the beginning again! As usual you had me crying at Boyd's despair and for what happened to him on assignment. I like how you are capturing all the differemt characters reactions. All I can say is Danny better be Hsin or Boyd's never coming back from this!! Thanks for continuing this and please don't give in to the writers block, you can overcome it, we have faith in you!

finally! i've been waiting for the continuation of Boyd an Sin stories for so long. I really really really love your story and read them several times, especially interludes because that's where Boyd and Sin were most happy. Btw, has you got around the writer's block?
And then i read the first 4 chapters of Fade.
I can't stop crying. My eyes are swollen, red, I have runny nose while writing this. You can't kill Sin! you absolutely can't! these stories are about Boyd and Sin, so there's no way the story can continue if you kill Sin. is there a possibility that the new director has a hidden agenda by "killing" so many people? maybe there's a new agency with more humane approach? Please at least tell me, is Sin still alive? (Your answer has to be yes, however. I accept nothing less).
I'm reading chapter 5 and I'm getting afraid. I'm afraid that Boyd's hope will be proven empty and it will destroy him. But Sin is a super agent, and probably a super human too. he can't be killed that easily. besides, there is no official announcement that Sin is terminated. Maybe he's only missing (like a lot of other agents) and the agency doesn't want to look bad so they cover it up with termination story? or maybe the new Director is the real traitor and she tries to convert agents to her side including Sin?
this is my first review of the story. my first review on Adult Fan Fiction although I have visited this site quite regularly. so I suppose you know that you're amazing writers. And you can see from the tones in my review, in what chapter i wrote each paragraph. I'll be waiting for the next chapter of Fade eagerly.

Wooow, stayed up really late reading this and cried the entire time!! So fucking sad. I know it's probably not going to happen but I could kind of see Emilio and Boyd hooking up one drunk night.

Wow, thank you for more chapters of Fade!!! The story gets even more engaging! Now I'm making lists of suspects for the role of Agency mole, of course. (So far, there's only one on the list...)Superbly written, these new chapters. Boyd's interior pain is so vivid, so realistic, it's very moving. I also like his obstinence in not accepting the official truth and looking for actual proofs of what happened to Sin. Ending the chapter with his resolution to break into the most secret area of the Agency, on the trail of the Rippers work - you really left us desperate for more!!!

First, I must say that I am a lurker stepping from the shadows here. I like it there. Its warm and safe. Secondly, I want to say I really enjoy your guys writing. Phenomenonal. And Sonny I love After Midnight! Please people check it out! Had to put in a shout out.
Ahem, getting back to Fade, I must say I felt traumatized and angry. You guys tore Boyd apart thoroughly. Poor thing. All the crap that he went through on that mission was intense. Ohhh who is this new chick in charge? For obvious reasons I loathe her deeply. When will we hear from her and her new way of doing things from the old standard? And those twins? A slut and a 'super' assassin. Bleh. How dare Bex say those things? I almost was done with Carhart but after reading ch5 it made me reconsider my stance on his behavior. Right now it just seems as everything is against Boyd. Either nobody knows anything or wont tell him much. A lot of tension at the agency. Hopefully he will be able to get some solid info on what really was going on in that lab. A lead or something. Also can't wait till Emilio gets out. Someone needs there ass whooped. The agency is getting worser. There needs to be a coup or ehh I dont know. Sounds like shits gonna hit the fan anyway if a Carhart or Vivienne don't catch this spy/traitor surreptitiously. Heh, I am way too involved in this story. Excuse me for geeking out a bit. Anyways well done so far looking forward to more.

I'm just too excited, like I have waited for this for so long and it literally hurts when I think of me reading these chapters I'm a step closer to the ending of this story :PPPPP LOL When I calm down I'm going to read this but I think I need another week. Just want to say I love you and your characters! They're old friends by now! ♥

Once the initial surprise wore off, I have to say I like with the direction you decided to take with book three. After such a long "hiatus" (the shitload of interludes moving the story along kind of negates that term and could be turned into a separate novel all on their own, with some writing added to tie the stories tighter together) due to the writer's block you mentioned, the strategy of taking your universe and shaking it right the hell up seemed like a wise one. I've seen it happen so many times, a long story in a complex universe digging itself into an ever-deepening rut of predictability. Usually the best fix is a sudden shock to the system, then let the plot build from the resulting chaos. And an unexpectedly long timeskip, the organization under radical new management, Boyd's newest trauma, and "offing" one of the two main characters in the first chapter definitely counts.
I'm pretty impressed by how you decided to treat Boyd's valentine status, similar to the way you dealt with Sin being an assassin. Very early on and throughout the story, we see him injuring and killing innocent, even likable people, instead of conveniently hurting only villains or faceless human beings. Now, Boyd didn't end up having mildly distasteful missions with attractive targets now and then, he ended up drugged and whored against his will for nearly a year. Neither being a killer nor a valentine is glamorized, and I appreciate that. What Sin and Boyd do is awful, not glorified, and the consequences tangible. It's just a nice change from the stereotypical moral assassin and romantic prostitute.
I do find it hard to believe that Sin has been terminated, and not just for reasons outside the fourth wall. A) Taking him out would have resulted in too many casualties for the carnage to go unnoticed a full week after the fact. B) The new Marshall doesn't strike me as stupid enough to keep someone like Emilio alive after driving him to make an attempt on her life by doing something unforgivable. And C) there's still the mole, and I'd think it'd be a top priority of the Marshall's to find out who would want Sin dead enough to frame him with the murder of one of her own people. One way is get him dead - for a little while, at least.
Then again, faking their deaths is the only way Boyd and Sin will get out of the Agency, and Sin going first to set things up for Boyd would make sense; Emilio being in on it, as he's been faking dead for years, would be useful.
I don't know, just throwing things out there. I'm sure you've heard it all before, but this is an endlessly fascinating story, and I do hope you two authors continue to conquer the challenges inherent in writing something so detailed and interesting.

I'm very happy to find the story up!
Your characters still have their personalities and flaws. I find that they responded to their problems very humanely as in, if anything like this ever happened IRL (lol)
I could see Carhart just shutting down instead of going into rage mode, like Emilio.
The chapters are easy to read but the story sometimes slows down. I don't know how much more angst I can take, it's too much. I can skip a paragraph or two and
it would still be Boyd-angst. I was hoping at the end of Chapter 2 (Disguised as Chapt 3 lol) that Boyd would come up with something to do cause I'm not sure
where it's heading.
At the same time I can't wait to meet the new agents. Mainly the new super assassin and how she and Boyd interact. One of these days the agency will fall I'm sure,
or Boyd+Sin will finally be liberated. Or perhaps Sin is simply away on a mission he couldn't tell anyone about, or even ran away.
I'm looking forward to the next update since it's too early to make an exact opinion. C:
