So I think I finally reviewed the chapters you posted on here super quickly which was a very nice surprise. I actually squealed a little bit lol. YEA for character growth!! Max is starting to evolve and then he says something like this "Motherfu**ing gangstas shooting puppies and smoking weed and doing crack." and he is right back to the old Max. But not really because he is changing. BTW cutest thing ever when Ashley got Max to ask him out. PLEASE PLEASE don't let anything happen with Dean and Max I'm begging you. I just want to give Jake a big hug. Good luck with exams.

I think your story is fantastic. The characters are very real, it doesn't feel like a lot of the other fiction here. I'm always pleasantly surprised to see new chapters... now I think I'm even looking forward to them.

A blurb? How about: "Max finds that it's all too easy to ignore those around him when he involves himself in his art. What happens when he's dragged back into the real world by two brothers who refuse to be ignored?" Or substitute 'two brothers' for 'another artist', depending if you want to involve both Knarly and Ashley or not.

Just a suggestion. Can't wait to read the next bit!

omg i adore this. Max is just sooooooo cute that last line jsut made me smile like a total dork. I love this I want ot give you all the praise and encouragement in the world. (anything to keep you motivated and writing) I love that max cares about his family and that he tries to make it work. And "Knarly" is just hilarious.
I adore your story please update as soon as possible.

Oddly enough, I really, really like this. I mean, not because I think it's bad, I just never like reading the kind of story where that one hot guy keeps reappearing at the most convenient of times. I also hate too much character development usually, but I loved how you develop his character without changing his tone of voice. Everything weird that happens or that he does is just put out so monotonously that it just seems so normal.

Ahaha you've really mastered the art of that.

Ok, now I'm thinking Max is on crack. Well, as far as the second to last chapter. I didn't read this last one yet!

Max, anti-social Max, Max who hates people and talking to people, not only is RENTING ONE OF HIS ROOMS OUT, but actually is having a conversation with his mother! Wow!

And of course, of all people, he's renting a room to Ashley's younger brother! Small world, huh? Why didn't his brother just ask Ashley to do the art for his cover? Ah, but then there would be no story! lol

But I must say I was impressed and very proud of Max to "open" up so much! Hey, he even made a joke with Jake, will wonders never cease? lol

Ok, but seriously, having a roommate is totally gonna crimp on his "routine" lifestyle. How bout if Seamus (awesome name btw), aka Knarley with a "K" and what, not a "G"? lol doesn't want the heat cranked up? What if he can't take Max's anti-social behavior? I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

I'm adoring this. You have no idea how happy i was to see an update. I adore how protective Max is and Dean comes off as slimy and gross. I love that Max is trying with the family they all seem so sweet and i dono it just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
I can barely wait for Max to start "seducing" Ashley haha so cute

Ok, I know Max is hot for Ashley, but why is he so mean to Dean? Just b/c Dean was coming on to him? Hmm, complex guy that Max is! lol

I almost fell off my chair when Max realized Ashley was totally checking out his ass! Omg, was that funny! And I must commend Max for actually having a conversation w/Ashley! That's a big step up from not wanting to talk with anyone. Awwww, Max is really coming along.....

Yaay! I am so happy to see this story again.

Dude, Im pretty pissed at u right now! In 5 hours I've gotta be at work but I couldn't stop readin, so I read chapter after chapter until I gobbled all 6 chapter up and before I know it it's way passed midnight n I'll probably be dead tired tomor courtasy you! U know what tho? It'll be sorta worth it coz that was brilliant. I LOVE knarly. That first phone conversation he had with max had me in stitches. Max seems slightly confused in terms of his speech, in earlier chapters he was all about grammer n full sentances, and in chap 5 he seems to have adopted knarlys speech code, slipping 'something' after most sentances. Don't know much about Ashley yet, but u seem to have created a parallel universe where max and jake are mirror images of Ashley and knarley, where both Ashley n max are both selfish artists with an 'older brother' complex, and knarly n jake are musicians hard done by younger brothers. I LOVE jake, and that last chapter nearly had me in tears. I can totally relate to the younger siblings tryin to keep the peace to keep things simply functioning. Loved this chapter, totally different than the rest. What's the age difference between knarly n jake? Just scopin any potential relatioship forming...

Oh Asher man, dontcha know your story comes BEFORE any of that senior bullshit they throw atcha? Don't let 'em try to tell ya otherwise. And so is this a senior in high school, or college?

And does anyone REALLY like Brussel Sprouts? Actually I've never had them.....so Idk....

Ok, I seriously am in love with Knarly! He's like the fucking bomb! Of course him and Jake both being the youngest, have that in common and he knows just what Jake is talking about. And he's so cool and makes everyone feel so comfortable. He just pretty much "adopted" Jake and Max's parents. That's so cool.

That Felix character; what a fucking slime ball. Why the hell does Jake need ADHD meds? To get high? To deal with his shitty life? He doesn't need to stoop so low in order to get it THAT way.

It's strange the way Max was described in high school. I would have never thought he was popular, had friends, was great in everything. So what happened during college that he just decided not to care anymore? So he willingly decided to be a social outcast? Why? Why would someone want to be alone all the time w/no social interaction?

And now it seems like the two brothers are both half-in and half-out of the closet. Well, more in that out. lol

I loved this chapter even though it didn't have Max in it. I loved the interaction between Knarly and Jake and even between Jake and his mom.
