I can totally understand Max's viewpoint now. He got jaded from being in that kind of environment where everyone is interested profiting off their association with him. I am glad that Max is trying with Jake because Jake could really use his support. It is good that Jake has someone to talk to about being gay now.

Ash and Max are really cute. I liked how their date was kind of awkward it made it more realistic. I HATE DEAN!! He is a total D-bag. I knew something like that would happen once you brought up the heating bill. Max just went about ten steps backwards with that grossness. Although had it been between anyone else it would have been hot. Ugh anyway I'm glad you updated and keep up the good work.

Oh Max, Max, Max! You dumb idiot! What the fuck were you thinking??? Shit, he starts to have feelings for one guy, can't handle it, so he's giving out bj's?

And wtf happened on their date? It was going perfectly. Max even offered you know, heating shit up in whichever apt. they wanted to be in. What happened? I don't understand what happened. Seriously. What, Ash can't handle someone having feelings for him? And Max can't handle having feelings for ANYONE; ha! They're a perfect match.

And yes Asher, your beautiful imagery when it comes to the art aspect of this story, helps me picture what you're talking about! lol So kudos to you and/or your Molotovs. :)

Awesome chapter, although confusing for me. How the heck are they gonna fix this mess? And by they I mean Max and Ashley of course. Not Dean. I used to like him, but now he's just creepy. :(

Max and Ashley go on a date and Max comes home and makes out with Dean? Why didn't he just try his luck with Ashley instead.

NOOOO dear god Jake don't let creepy gross guys touch your privates. wow just like wow.. I was not expecting this and i have to say it gives the story a hole new dimension. Like i don't know what to say that how happy i am with this, I sooo hope you continue the Jake part of the story man please make Max find out whats going on and fix it. Poor Jake this was heart wretching and perfect. and I want Jake and Knarly (haha every time i read that name) romance. I don't know what to say your story is brilliant and it deserves more views, and reviews. I'm officially your number one fan

im soooo glad Max is getting his head out of his ass, and poor jake I just want to hug him (make knary do it) haha i dono they seem perfect for each other. I cant wait to read about the "date" and i think it was so cute how Ashley asked him out. Dan still seems creepy and weird and i don't like him, I swear if he comes onto Jake I'm stabbing him in the eye.
sorry for rambling I will go read A New Perspective sometimes tonight.

Am I the only one that finds Dean creepy? Haha Max blushing thats awesome. Poor Ashley I'm a vegetarian too and I know how awkward it can be having dinner with people and trying to make the host not feel bad. Anyway Keep up the good work I'm off to read the rest!!

OMG poor Jake. This made me so sad. But on the plus side how big of a sweetheart is Knarly. You have gotta admit they would make a cute couple.

Oh Asher! Omg, Monotovs (like the cocktail? lol) is your b/f? You know, this is so funny. Well, not funny, but w/e: You started your story and he started his story and you both were updating w/in hours of each other and these two stories quickly became two of my favorite stories on here and it was kinda like a race to see who would update first! Now that I know this wasn't a random thing! lol Well, I gotta say, for a college student you sure do write well. Is Monotovs in school too? You both are very talented writers whose stories are extremely well-written with correct spelling words, no grammatical errors, punctuation errors, tense changes....it's a pleasure to read both your stories! :) You must have a lot of art experience, b/c the way you describe the paintings, and Max painting his paintings and the whole process, reads very realistic. I don't know shit about art, but through your words, I can picture everything he's doing and the whole process it takes to make a single painting. ;)

Ok, on to the review, now that I sucked up enough...hahah

I'm so proud of Max for using the L word to Jake! Jake really needs his big brother now and Max came through for him. It's really too bad what happened to him in college w/that grad student and the faculty. I can see where that would totally screw up someone's mind, not being able to trust people after that.

I loved when after he said I love you to Jake, he wanted to pretend this never happened and do something manly like.....whatever men do. That was so funny! I was reading it in my chiropractor's office and I was cracking up! People were looking at me all funny and shit.

I was also proud of Max for apologizing to Knarly about the whole garbage thing. He's really maturing, dontcha think? lol

Awesome chapter, as always! I can't wait to find out how the art thingy date goes! :)

Oh, and p.s.: thank you for explaining what happened to Max during college. I know I asked that in a review, so thank you for addressing it! And also Knarly's age. I actually assumed he was Max's age, 24, b/c I knew they were in college together. So, thank you for clearing that up! :)
