This story does a lot of telling. A LOT. Pretty much all of it, really. It's a decent story, but I'd like it more if it didn't read like a textbook. It's like studying a culture instead of telling a story within that culture. It wasn't as bad in the beginning, but now... yeah.

I've felt like that a few times. Can't fix it, ignore it or deal with it so sometimes you just need to drown it for a bit. It'll likely still be there when u come up again but for a little while it's not so bad.

I'm so lost. I think the story progresses a little too fast, I got tired of re-reading sections so just ignored what I didn't get, and became so lost that the story became frustrating to read. Which is a shame because the writing is good and the world and plot enthralling.

Chapter 39. hahhahahahaha! luv how Mel got Lou to come down and Ashun is adorable for letting Mel play the role of 'fetch'. XD Popsicle! tat would be an interesting event tat Ashun was the one to bring them those as a house warming gift. i'd love to see what Lou's reaction to Mel eating it and if he'll kick everyone out of the house to share dessert with Mel.
