I will forever coo over how cute Eli and Ajax are together. Like, okay, they say that they're bad and awkward and everything at relationships but MY HEART it was simultaneously crying and aww-ing at them sleeping together, and fucking, and eating together and every single interaction ugh I have it so bad for them.

"Cyber mage" - I don't know if you came up with that or if the term's been floating around for a while, but that's a really neat concept.

Toby and Jericho... :( I don't know if we'll get any sort of resolution with them, but I just went back and re-read Cat's Cradle, and aww Toby. You create such fascinating characters in this lovely, gritty, eerie supernatural world. I love it a thousand times over.

(11) Thank god someone took the leap, if Ajax hadn't just gone out on a limb I'm not sure they ever would have gotten to an exclusive point. Although I don't know what kind of a relationship they're going to manage considering they usually want to kill each other as often as they want to jump into bed together.^^ It's a great dynamic and makes for a fantastic adventure, how could it not be with werewolves, magic and weirdo watcher societies. Sadly now one short, poor Archie he was starting to grow on me and seemed to actually want to help Ajax, it'll be interesting to find out what happened to him. At this point I wouldn't even be surprised if the society had something to do with it.

It doesn't seem as if there's really anyone in this crazy supernatural world that Ajax can trust. But least with Eli you can be fairly certain that he isn't working with anyone else plus he does seem to be in it mostly for the sex ;) Speaking of, top Ajax just sounds plain hot, with all that attitude I couldn't imagine he would be someone that would bottom forever. Plus how much did I love that Eli blushed bright red when Jack brought it up, he certainly has his cute moments :)

Never a dull moment with these two, next chapter I'm sure will be just as exciting, I'm looking forward to it ^_^

Your stories really never disappoint... Awesome chapter! I'm so glad for Ajax and Eli, although I guess it can't ever go completely smoothly with them, so I still expect some tensions.
You've truly made this story a fantastic read: the characters are complex but compelling and still quite mysterious - just like the plot! I actually feel bad for Archie, though. I think he wasn't a bad guy and was going to help Ajax too. And I'm glad to know for sure what Kat is, but I wonder about the guy who stole Ajax's computer and notes - could he work for her and be a vampire too? Or is he something else altogether? And I'm also wondering about Jericho now. I'd love to see Ajax meeting him - could be interesting if he's as cranky as Eli pretends (it could after all be Eli making him this way when they meet, as he seems good at making people feel this way).
I do hope you still have quite a few chapters planned for this story, because we're still in the dark about the curse and many other things... I hope that Ajax can actually really trust Eli, though, since we don't know everything about him yet (and poor Ajax really needs someone he can trust). Also, is there a deeper meaning or reason for their strong attraction to each other - or is it just pure passion? Because they look like they can't fight it even if they try... which is hot, anyway, so I'm certainly not complaining. :)

Damn that was good! I love characters with insecurities, I think it makes them more believable. That and I have a general angst fetish haha ^^; I'm really excited to see where these two are headed and I can't wait to find out more about Antha (sp?) Till then!

i'm so glad we've reached the point where they establish a mutual, exclusive relationship, because i've totally been waiting for this since the very first time that you posted haunted city (er - the earliest version of it) on aff. that part - that exchange - just made me smile so wide it hurt. now i get it, eli's whole thing with backing off and then coming back. oh god, he CARES, that is so sweet and ajax is so cute asking if they can be exclusive and THEY'RE BOYFRIENDS NOW holy shit. that's at least one steady thing in ajax's life, now.

Can I just say that the dynamic between these two is adorable.
It's horribly awkward and uncomfortable but it's adorable because it's kinda more realistic than a happy sunshiney relationship -- not that I am suggesting you special in happy, sunshiney relationships. Quite the opposite, really.
But, anyway, they're adorable. Stupid and prideful and hotheaded, the both of them, but adorable.

(9) I guess everything that Jack's been dealing with was bound to come out eventually, the fact that it was Eli that sent him over definitely says something about how they can affect each other. They aren't even together 24hrs and they're fighting and storming off, not that I really blame Jack for getting mad he's trying so hard to keep everything together and Eli just threw it all in his face. He basically attacked who Jack is but honestly I do feel a teensy bit bad for Eli because he seems more insecure than anything. These guys may not think they want this but it seems Eli's wolf has decided it wants Jack and I'm not sure you can talk sense into a wolf.^^ Speaking of the wolf, I'm just glad that you didn't make him some weird huge monster that sometimes appears in movies/stories, to me a werewolf should be a wolf :) Anywho despite all the drama I'm glad we finally got to see Eli's wolf and that he came back (if only for a bit) I can't wait to see what you have in store next ^_^ Have a Happy New Year hun! ^.^

I feel so sorry for Ajax. He's pretty much all alone in this mess. Eli is being such a fucking prick about this whole thing. I hope they can sort their shit out soon; Jax has enough going on. Aw man, this is exciting! This is pretty much the only story I log onto this site to read. You're truly amazing at setting up worlds and making characters I actually care about. Sexy characters, at that. It's got such a sleek, contemporary feel that I almost forget it's supernatural.
