Sorry to hear what you've had to experience in the last 5 months :( Take as long as you need! I was excited to see an update though and to tell you the truth I am totally liking Haunted City more than Juicy Fruit now that Eli is making bolder moves on Ajax rawr haha

(4) I'm so sorry to hear about everything that's been going on in your life and while I'm very happy to see an update from you they are your stories hun, write as fast (or slow) as you want and to be honest more Eli wouldn't be such a bad thing :) I love how he's following (stalking) Jack around like the luv-sick puppy he is.^^
As for Jack I don't know what to think of him sometimes, he knows about magic with his sister and grandmother and accepts that they really could do things but when it comes to himself he figures it has nothing to do with him. Same with Eli, he must at least sense something's up with him but he never let's himself acknowledge it. I can't help but think of how dangerous living this half life is, he may not want anything to do with this world but like it or not he's involved. Soon he's going to have to decide if he's really all in, although the way things are going maybe the choice will be taken out of his hands.
I can't wait to find out more there's definitely enough interesting stuff to keep me looking forward to the next chapter :)

I cannot get enough of this story. XD It's so addictive, and I love Eli-Jack interaction! I will never get tired of it. :) Great chapter. Keep it up! <3

I'm so glad you're okay, though maybe not so much emotionally/mentally. I can't even describe my sympathy for your loss - I also recently lost a loved one, so I can sort of empathize with some of your feelings.
In the meantime, though, I would be more than happy to have you continue to hang out with Eli. He and Ajax are really some of my favorite characters, and I adore Haunted City.

The plot thickens. Every update is a fucking tease. I swear there's never enough!Ajax certainly isn't taking his time getting attracted to Eli. I'm glad. Eli's delicious. Perhaps bad company, but when has that ever lessened the appeal? They have such an intense chemistry. The kiss left me rather flustered. I like that Jax is fighting this all the way. I find a lot of writers have the characters just go with out there things so easily that it's terribly unrealistic. Jax is an unwilling participant--a victim really. I hope his attitude doesn't get him into more trouble. I'm terribly fond of him as is! So fond I rambled!

(3) I'm normally not a huge supernatural fan but I think that Jack may have sucked me in :) There's just something about him, I love that juxtaposition of witchy punk with common sense law student. Eli seems to be a good contrast to Jack with his devil-may-care attitude, it'll be interesting to see if they can work together or not. And the whole mystery is truly why the story appeals to me, just what is going on and how is Jack going to deal with it. I'm glad he's at least trying to learn but that does make me wonder if Katharina is trustworthy or not, although even if this turns out to be one of those 'live to regret' moments what other chose does Jack have. Definitely caught my attention so far, I can't wait for more ^.^

When I read the 1st posting of this story I loved the 1st chapter but wasn't too hot about the 2nd chapter so I kinda just left it alone, BUT NOW! I love the re-write, everything from beginning to end. The confusing parts make it sooo much more interesting and have me craving for more haha! I can't wait to see where you take this story :)

Already I'm in love with your characters! Jack is awesome and suitably oblivious, while somehow being completely in the know. Eli is just deliciously in your face with no sense of inhibitions. I love that in a character =D. Gotta feel bad for Ajax though, he's got no skills right now heh.
Your style of writing is brilliant as well. I adore stories where I get the full five senses. So far I'm creeped out in a totally good way!

LOL I guess I haven't seen the rewrites before. I can't imagine not loving this story enough to finish it, but, then again, we writers have weird standards for ourselves. Personally I love Eli and Ajax to death (no, wait, not to /death/! to the end. of their story, I mean, not them! ack!). I think that line 'take your cloak and dagger' is just the funniest and most clever thing I've ever read. Just awesome.
Not to mention the whole 'that curse your wearing'. Very clever dialogue. I just squee when I read stories that have that cleverness about them. Dammit. Now I"m going to have to read all your stories and I don't even like supernatural stuff! Shame on you for making me adore it. *sulk*
