I have to say this story is amazing! It's soooo dark, and still, from the first chapter and the summary, we know that he actually SURVIVE this, though very damaged, and it still might not end happily... it's the surviving-part that is really in focus and the fear... I think it was one of those Oprah-shows that said that if you get into the car, your chanses of survival are slim... and here the poor guy is, still alive, but he has seen their faces, found out things about them... he has to be thinking that there's no way that they would let him just go when they tire of him, that they will kill him... AMazing! And the field is set for Stockholm-syndrome as well, and speaking about that, I'm SO looking forward to seeing the other "pet"... so, in short, amazing idea, amazing characters and amazing, grabbing, story-telling! Love it!

I still am enjoying the way story is flowing and not jumping ahead too. It was interesting to find out how they planned the kidnapping and I like how we are also finding out bits and pieces of information about who Al and Phil really are. I love the conflict and emotions Brennan is displaying. I see him eventually facing reality with his situation too and thinking he will never escape so he will in all probability comply with their orders.
I really can't wait until these two new characters are introduced. I think the story will be getting even more interesting.

I agree with everyone else that the story is so much more realistic by not rushing the time frame of it ahead. I don't understand why but I really am enjoying Brennan's 'torment' from Al and Phil. I see Brennan slowly giving in to them but don't know yet if it's because he's just giving up or has a plan in the back of his mind. I am anxious to finally meet Richard and Jason, wondering whether or not their relationship is consensual and whether Brennan becomes friends with Jason (Sub?). Al and Phil are really laying out everything to Brennan in vivid detail.
I sense but am not sure now that Al may work at a Veterinary Hospital but not positive. I hope he uses clean needles on Brennan but it looked like he re-used the one he injected into Brennan's thigh twice.
Hope you don't have to difficult a time at work and can get back to story soon.

question: does he know where he's located? since he watches those news report. you'd think he'd know what town he's near or around by now, or that he'd try to figure out his location and how far things were via info from the news station...
but aside from that question, really good chapter! i enjoyed it. hope al and phil get theirs some day. they are really mean.

Nggh - oh god. Seeing you update has the same effect as watching sneak-previews of HP7.part2 -- which would be the ability to turn me into a ball of barely contained excitement.
and ajdskfl, Brennan. I know I should be sitting here thinking "Maddox! stop hurting Brennan!" But, I just can't seem to get past "Guh! more torment please!"
Another brilliant chapter.

In the early chapters I was like come on just give in-to Brennen, but I'm glad you took a more realistic route than I would of and took time with the story rather than rush the events. This gets more interesting with each chapter, cannot wait to red the next.

Oh, I love it love it love it... again, I have to say how grateful I am that you're recording every day and haven't done any big time gaps yet. Stories of this nature that randomly throw in a "THREE YEARS LATER" exasperate me, because this is the stuff I love, in a morbid, masochistic way, reading about! The process of Brennan "giving in" is just so realistic. You're taking your time, which is great, and we slowly see Brennan acting less impulsively and more in accordance to Phil and Al's rules.
I didn't expect to see Al in a medical profession, but love the development. I thought he was like, a farmer or something, and Phil was a mechanic or whatever. Not that there aren't smart farmers/mechanics/whatever but it kinda makes Al seem more brains and less "all brawn" than I initially imagined him, which makes him more frightening. Though I'm wondering what exactly it is that he does. He's not into dentistry, right, or he would have known better when he ripped out Brennan's teeth to try to give him oatmeal the next day? And he's not a doctor because he had no idea what to do when Brennan broke his arm? Unless he is just a nurse or something. Or... chiropractor. lol I'm really really curious, but I guess we might not find out since it's from Brennan's point of view and they are trying not to tell him much.
I had been wondering about whether or not it was a random kidnapping! Glad we found out. I kept trying to work into my head how they could have been stalking Brennan for awhile, but it just didn't fit with the van in the deserted area when he was making a random late night errand. I weirdly, though, was reminded of a pet shelter or something, and Al and Phil went to check the "pets" before they picked one out. At least, that's how they're treating Brennan...
Sorry for my long comment! One last thing! I read it again and missed before that Brennan relates that he has had oral sex with girls. Is he bisexual, or did he just experiment with one or both sexes? I don't mean you have to answer this, I get that's not the point of the story. It's just, when you're reading a story about sex, you can't help but wonder about sexuality, too. :)

Hi! I really love how you are developing the characters. This story is...incredibly sad, and upsetting, yet I can't stop reading it. Because you simply do an amazing job.
I noticed one minor infraction. When Brennan wakes up the second time, at 10:30. He remarks that its that time, from checking on Al's alarm clock, but later on, when he's thinking about how calculated Al and Phil are, he thinks about how Al took his alarm clock with him that morning. So it doesn't really make sense.
However, other than that, this story is great. Thank you!
