I'm in love with this story - it's by far one of may favourites on the interweb :) Most importantly, I love how you're pacing it - with a lot of the darker orientated fics the author often rushes through the more violent, distressing sections but this leaves them badly done and less believable. You've got it down perfectly - the characters we're taught to loathe at the start are actually becoming much more complex - earlier on I found myself sometimes liking Phil when he seemed to help Brennan somewhat, but now I loathe him and Al sometimes creeps into the 'like' category only to be thrown out again - you keep the reader guessing, and that's the kind of angst fic I enjoy :)

I've become so attached to Brennan throughout the story, I feel a connection with him and that's a sign of good character building. I love the fact that despite the violence of the topic, you have ultimately made this a character-driven story, and this adds so much depth and intrigue to the plot as I actually care about the characters and what happens to them - it's not just all about the gore and the sex (although that plays an important part in the weaving of the tale and the emotional depth). All in all, I love this story, despite it's horrific moments (which only make it seem more real and make me more emotionally attached to Brennan), and can't wait to see where it'll go next - keep writing! Hope to see an update soon :)

Please promise me that you have a copy of this story stored on a disk somewhere just in case, by accident of course, AFF deletes it on you. I was following another author and just found out that they were removed and their stories deleted from AFF and it is freaking me out that the same could possibly happen to all the stories I follow. I would have a panic attack if one day I checked and you disappeared. Oh, the stress! Please be sure to save Waiting in the Throes or have extra copies, just in case......

It's been one month today since you last updated! I was wondering whether or not you are going to gift us with numerous updates since you hopefully must be on spring break. I've been missing this and hope you get back on track or start a mailing update list so I don't have to keep bothering you. Enjoy your time off from school but don't forget your readers.

Omg. Awesomely powerful chapter 15 was. O_O still in shock. Definitely degrading that must feel for both of them, can't even imagine myself in their shoes. Another great chapter! Can't wait to see what unfolds. Poor Brennen is breaking. (Jason too) <3 glad you updated

As horrible as these guys were to Jason and Brennan in this chapter, at least we know now that neither one of them is giving up. Especially Jason, like I originally thought and he still has the will to survive and one day get away from Richard. I am hoping he can get hold of that torch and use it on Richard right where it hurts him the most so he can get away then get help for himself and also Brennan.

I was very happy to see another new chapter up and was getting worried so thank you very much.

I was sure that this will happen soon... poor guys. I'm glad to see Jason got back some of his old spirit I hope he will have the oppotunity to get away (of course, Brennan too, but we already know he will manage it somehow)

Richard and Phill are just monsters. They just want to cause pain and suffering for their own pleasure. But I don't really know what to think about Al. He seems to have some humanity left inside of him, like he can understand the pain they cause for Brennan (and Jason) but he's still doing everything. It's really scary and sad. How the hell did he got together with Phill?...

Wow, ever since Richard made Jason say he thought Brennan was cute that other day I was half expecting them to force Brennan and Jason to do this, but I also wasn't sure of how possessive they'd be about letting their abductees have sex with someone other than themselves, and Phil had said to Brennan earlier than Richard and Jason wouldn't touch him (well, Phil lies again, if I was Brennan I wouldn't believe him if he told me that bears shit in the woods). But ouch, brah, that scene was harsh. I felt the worst for Jason, because Brennan was so freaked out, and he was forced to do it anyway. But whaaat will happen to Jason? Does Phil actually want to keep him, or was that just a threat? I mean, they just got Brennan, you'd think their hands are full. Why is Jason worried that Phil is worse than Richard? I mean, they're both pretty terrible but Richard seems like a complete 100% sociopath and Phil at least has shown Brennan the tiniest shreds of sympathy, plus then he'd get to stay with Brennan, right? I'd love to learn more about this "sex trade club", what the brand indicates, etc. Part of the mystery of it does make it more scary, but I'm hoping that Brennan will be abducted long enough to learn more from them. I'm also weirdly interested in Phil and Al, who they are and how they met, and how they decided that they were going to do this thing. I feel like their personalities are really developed, even if we're only seeing one side to them - the tormenting Brennan side, that is - and scenes I like the best are the ones that they are in.

And just saying, if you were to ever make an e-book of this I would totally buy it. :D I would put it on my Kindle. Along with, um, a password. lol
