This is an amazing story in a number of ways. It's gripping, and the characters - both the hero and the bad guys - are well developed. It's a neat feat to b able to turn the reader's attention from the protagonist to the complicated dynamics between the abusers and back again. I do find that the physical issues are less believable. They go from having bonfires in the early spring to a white-out snowstorm in May....I live in a climate that's pretty unstable, in the middle of the US, and I'm finding the climate of this story a little off. Snow really stops in April, and the last time we had a huge May storm was 100 years ago. Otherwise, though, it's an awesome tale. I wish it was updated more frequently.

While this is often a difficult story to read I'm really enjoying it. Brennan is such a believable character: his reactions seem real and true. I worry about his poor feet: I really thought he would get way this time. Looks like there won't be another attempt any time soon. Thanks for updating!

I just tried to leave you another message (I think my third) on tumblr but don't know if you got it or if I typed it in the right place. I will keep an eye out on it for your answer.

Your story is too sad ;-; I hope Phil and Al die a painful death! D< VERY PAINFUL! Anyway, I just have to say, how far north do they live? O_O I mean, snow in may? I am from the tropics myself and right now it's pretty hot XD I dunno, I guess it's just a difference in location LOL

Oooh, Maddox, I love the picture of Al/Brennan/Phil that your friend drew for you on your tumbler page. It's really like how I picture them looking, it's so amazing and your friend did a really great job drawing them. Phil actually scares me with those eyes of his, LOL. I tried posting a message here a few days ago but it didn't show up or I don't know whether you got it or not so am posting a message here instead.

Anyhoo, how's that next chapter progessing? Will it be posted soon? I will keep my eyes glued to your tumbler page for updates.

I have tried submitted this review a couple of times already and it keeps disappearing so here's hoping third times a charm, LOL.

What did they do to him?
Wow.... but I applaud brennan for attempting escape. He should never give up. It doesnt matter anyway, if he tries to escape or not,, they're gonna do something to him anyway...

but what was that they poured on his back, after whipping him (with wire??? a cable wire?)
O_O man..........

It's a real miracle he's not permanently running a fever.
man.... will he ever make it out alive?

Yo, Maddox, I tried to post a message on your tumblr pagea few days ago but don't think it worked. So, I will ask another question here until you let me know that you got it. I know this is a way stupid or dumb question but I would like to know whether or not Brennan is pretty much hairless except on his head and you know where else, LOL. I just can't picture him with hairy legs/arms or chest and I don't think Jason is either because I think that Rich mentioned something about Al and Phil shaving Brennan when they were branding him but Al liked him the way he was.

I read your review responses on tumbler, awesome! I was wondering whether Brennan's parents and brother will be introduced before story ends. I know you mentioned his mother coming to his new apartment (dropping the iron) in first chapter but nothing about his father other than when we saw them together on the news. What about his brother and friend? They never appeared on the news that I know of. I hope they are supportive to him. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that Jason and Brennan end up as a couple by the end. I am also curious why Brennan is living alone and not living at home with his parents or at least with his brother after his ordeal. I also hope we see him and Jason testify at trial together. I am going to miss this story when it ends and hope you continue writing more just like it.

Oh no! What are they doing to him? Burning his feet so he can't run? Oh poor Brennan... I hope they aren't damaging him beyond repair, so he can never walk again or something... sounds horrible. I cant even fathom how painful emotionally and physically all of this must be for him, Litterally because when I try to its too painful and nauseating to try. Will things ever be good for you again I wonder?

I am not sure but it seems to me like Al was actually more 'human' this chapter plus he told Phil that he gave Brennan 2 Oxy's but didn't Brennan only swallow one familiar pink pill? Is it possible that Al wants Brennan to escape so that he can have Phil all to himself again (and that he doesn't want the frustration anymore associated with Brennan) and has realized he made a mistake wanting a 'sex slave' that it's really not worth it. Maybe, there is hope for Brennan yet and Al could be the link to his freedom. I also noticed Al was way too calm or nonchalant when Phil yelled at him about Brennan almost getting away again. Didn't he notice that Brennan was missing from his bed or did he think Phil came in and took him while he slept? Maybe, just maybe, Al is not too bad after all but only time will tell. I also was thinking maybe Al is actually afraid that Phil could kill Brennan in a moment of passion and doesn't want to take the chance that if they were caught he could get the death penalty. I don't know but just thought Al seemed different.
