Phil and Al's relationship is very interesting to read and interpret. I'm curious about the circumstances in which they met. This chapter is kind of everything I've been waiting for, but it seems too...easy compared to everything he's gone through. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. Best of luck!

I am hoping that there is some sort of redemption in Al (and he will stop Phil from killing Brennan) but seriously don't know. If they were smart, somebody would start looking for Jason right away and Rich could even make some phone calls to people he knows. Jason couldn't have got that far yet not in his condition and Rich should realize that. It's really funny to see them literally shitting their pants in panic, LOL. I too am hoping that Phil and Al get away and are lurking in the background in part 2. So, it looks like Rich was possibly going to sell Jason to this Cole but only after they made Phil's movie. I really kind of admired Al in this chapter for standing up to his best friend and lover as well as Rich for Brennan's sake. Oh my gosh! Please update chapter 21 like FAST and then you can take your time with part 2!!! But, I still hope updates will be monthly or sooner. Huggles, Katie. I am off to your Tumblr page for news and more questions.

Five minutes I hope that they're not really deep in the country, because five minutes is not enough time to get to the nearest place. Please let Jason get away, please. I also hope if he does get rescued they take him to a far away hospital.

Okay thinking back, I'm sure Jason knows the neighborhood. He's been with Richard for over two years and had to have passed his "public test" a long while ago. Brennan hang in there. I know he survives but I'm sad wondering what they are going to do to him.

I can't even begin to express my concern for both Brennan and Jason but knowing the end of their captivity is only one chapter away makes me feel a whole lot better. I think Phil is losing control of the situation fast and the fact he can't accept that will make things very dangerous for Brennan. Although, laughing like a lunatic is not helping Brennan's situation I can understand how he must be panicking underneath the facade. I do wish this chapter had been tiny bit longer but all the suspense made up for that. I am wondering now whether or not this Cole person may be deep undercover and the reason he was late arriving at Rich's place is because maybe the police are hiding somewhere waiting for Rich to sell Jason to Cole (who is wearing a wire) and once they make an exchange (or whatever) the front door gets busted down and they get arrested. Please update again soon, I beg you.

Well, one thing is for sure, Brennan is heading for a psychotic meltdown. Rich was pretty darn stupid leaving the key in the bathroom without telling Phil or Al. Ok, maybe he told Phil, don't know yet, but definitely not Al. Who is Jason going to come across and will they help him? I hope he hurries before too much harm befalls Brennan. I am so frightened for Brennan right now and need to reach next chapter really quick before I have a meltdown.

I think I am going to go and get drunk now so I don't have to think about what happens to Brennan. What a freaking amazing chapter. You really have outdone yourself with this one and just thinking about the final chapter of part 1 is scaring the crap out of me.

Oh man, if it wasn't for the knowledge that Brennan does escape I would be in the throes of panicking right now!
You honestly caught me by surprise at having Jason be the one who runs instead of Brennan. I guess in my mind it had
always be unchallenged that it would be Brennan who escapes and gets help. But instead you have given a wondrously selfless
Brennan, putting himself in immediate danger so that at the very least Jason can escape Richard and his upcoming fate. I don't
think that a lesser man could have done it.
Even though the chapter ended on a rather sour note for Brennan, and I am relatively at ease and am eager for chapter 21, I don't
feel as though my monthly wait it going to be as torturous because the route to freedom has been begun. Of course I say this now and will
probably be rolling around with indescribable need for the next chapter in a week.
Also, I'm so happy you unknowingly updated on my day off - all day to read~ :)
I'm looking forward to chapter 21 tying off my summer holiday before I begin the varying humdrum of university again ;)

This has to be one of the best chapters you have written so far and I love the fact that for once Phil and Rich are not the ones in control but Brennan was for a short time. The only worry I have now is will help come soon enough before Brennan suffers worse abuse at their hands especially since he is now the only whipping boy they can put their dirty hands on. I am anxious to get part one over with and start reading the next part of story.
