Oh my gosh! I am having heart palpitations! I don't believe this is happening to Brennan! Oh my gosh! What's so frightening is the fact that everything Brennan said to Jason before he left to find help is happening to him and I bet he wishes now he never got hysterical by laughing in their faces when they found Jason missing. Please post another update soon, I beg you.

Why, Maddox, why? I almost skipped reading the rest and wanted to jump to the end of chapter just to see how he got out of this mess but I was good and didn't. This was pure torture reading and the only good thing I could think of while reading this was that I knew Brennan would survive but after seeing everything he was subject to I don't know how he did it. How on Earth did you even think of writing a chapter like this yet alone get through doing it? This must have been one tough chapter for you and as usual you did a fabulous job with it.

Reading this really pains me!!!
But it's written very well, i just can't stop, I want for Brennan to be free of all this.
Wouldn't mind seeing him with Al in the end, like Al allowing him to escape.
But Phil...what a drastic change, kind, sweet to hard sadistic bastard.
Can't wait for the next chapter!

I don't know what to say because I am in shock (this was really very difficult to finish reading) but just hope that things start to get better for Brennan soon. I am glad that the end of his pain and suffering has come to a close and am looking forward to the next chapter and meeting his family. I really didn't think that part one would end this way and that help would have arrived before all this happened. You have pulled another cliffhanger of all cliffhanger's off with a vengeance.

And now for a (hopefully) more coherent and constructive review.
I've been reading this since the very beginning when you first posted it here on AFF and every chapter's left me more gripped than the one before. I honestly can't sing more praise for your writing style – it's comfortable, engaging and you keep a decent pacing where the flow of the story isn't compromised with everything that happens. Brennan as a character, is one we can believe in. I can't identify with what he's going through at all, personally, but I think this is what highlights your abilities as a writer. Even though I haven't been in such a situation before, you portray Brennan to us in a way that we can understand and come to terms with his world. The power dynamics between Phil and Al, and by extension, Brennan, are interesting as well. Particularly the way that you really get the impression that Phil and Richard are becoming increasingly wary of Brennan's hold over Al. Or, that is, their perceived notion that Brennan is capable of *manipulating* Al. Even though your characters are nasty pieces of work (save for Jason and Brennan of course), their interactions and behavioral tics make them morbidly fascinating. Even though it's been made clear, in the cases of Phil and Richard at least, that these rapists are unlikely to change their ways, or even give Brennan a reprieve, I still find myself hoping the kid gets a break and a happy ending.
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter because, oh god, I really hope Brennan's waking up in a hospital, as cliched as that is ;w;

Well that was the cruelist chapter yet, poor Brennan having to endure all of that. I read the title and I'm not sure if i wanted to continue to read on,that title alone suggested something worse then what he'd been through already. You know that was I really want to know where he was when he woke up, what happened, where did phil leave his body? Who found him? Such a cruel Cliffhanger, I'm hoping that it is someone in his family that spoke, like his Grandmother.
i got really pissed at Richard, for someone who was stupid enough to leave the keys where he did, he shouldn't be so 'prepared' with a back up plan. I don't want him to get away. I don't want Al or Phil to get away either. It's probably going to be a long process to bring anyone to justice >:( but that's the way the legal system works, fair trial and all that.
Another thing that pissed me off is Al claiming to 'love' Brennan which is a bunch of bull. if that's love, I'd hate to be Al's enemy. if he cared he would let Brennan out, he wouldn't let someone endure that. You don't hurt the people you love. I wanted to punch Al in the face for saying such a thing. And Phil had me angry to, trying to degrade Brennan.
I hope Brennan and Jason speak out, there are probably more crimes that happen to men then what we know. Just because they are afraid to speak out, because of how they are supposed to be 'strong' and not let this kind of stuff happen. Makes me mad. But I'm glad this nightmare is finally over for Brennan, in a sense. I'm sure he's going to have nightmares and flashbacks, after all he's been through a very traumatic time being held hostage.
What makes this such an interesting and terrifying read, is this stuff actually happens. I will be very interested to know how you write Brennan's recovery. Even if Brennan ends up with a girl love, i hope he doesn't think that all gay people are bad because this happened to him. I wouldn't blame him though for being afraid to be around men, at least for awhile.
Great job, i will be looking foreward to the next chapter, and also the side story with Richard/Jason if you decide to write it. :)

Oh my Lord! I just had a horrible thought.... “Hey, look who’s awake.” I don't think it's true but this sounds just like something Al would say to Brennan just after Phil finished 'playing' with him in the barn! Maybe, he took Brennan to the hospital he works at and got him a private room. He could be Brennan's own private nurse. If he said "Good morning, Sunshine." I would have screamed. I don't know but it's kind of creeping me out because it could be possible and you are known for these kind of twists. Richard did take Jason to the hospital once so it's plausible. ~~ CTF aka Katie ~~
