Oh my gosh! I am so relieved Brennan is finally home but fear is still hidden inside of him. Oh my gosh! Poor Brennan having to live with those scars. I can't believe Phil did that to him but it doesn't surprise me. I wish someone would carve the word beast/rapist, etc. into his flesh!

WOW once again a great chapter! I totally cringed when he saw the word slut on the back of his leg and I felt as suprize as he was to be honest. You write so detailed it's sureal and mind blowing at the same time it's like being an on looker from the corner of the room where no one can see you but you are definately there in real time. Thank YOU again for sharing this story! I hope all is well in your life! read ya laters!

Wow! Am am so blown away by this story. For such a horrible event this has captivated me since the beginning. I can't wait to see how you continue to bring Bennen's story to life. And hopefully Jason too.

Hi Maddox, thanks again for hosting the chat on your Tumblr page and I am sorry I kept getting booted. I didn't get to ask any questions, or tell you how much I luv ya and Brennan! I will try to be more faithful about reviewing WITT from the day forward and know I have been kind of lax about so wanted to apologize. I am still reading it though!

That was so hard to read. I had to stop a few times and come back. Once I had to jump forward just to make sure there was a point when Brennan gets away. If he hadn't I was ready to bail. It would have been too painful to keep reading if I thought he didn't get away. I'm glad I kept reading. This story has been harrowing and painful, but it's supposed to be. Really terrible things happen to people, often without the happy ending. I was impressed with your ability to not flinch and gloss things over. It would have been easy to skip ahead in time and gloss over what happened and just show the aftermath. I really respect that you didn't, even if I sometimes couldn't bear to read some parts. I look forward to seeing what will happen next in Brennan's and Jason's recovery and what happens with the investigation. I will hold you to your promise of a happy ending though. I wish aff had a way to notify when chapters update.

I've been trying to post this question on your Tumblr page but finally gave up and am posting it here. There seems to be another problem and they are having technical difficulties of some sort. It's rather annoying too.
Did Phil wrap Brennan up in some kind of plastic when he transported him to the burial site and did he do anything with the mattress he raped and stabbed Brennan on since there would have been a lot of blood and other bodily wastes, at least I think there would be.

Nice chapter. It's a good step on Brennan's part he began to open up to Sam about what happened. He can start sharing the burden and not keeping everything to himself, not to mention, it will likely gradually become easier to talk about. I doubted Brennan had any STD from the start so that wasn't really a revelation for me - it was possible, of course, and Phil and Al didn't necessarily act safely when they first kidnapped and raped him, but soon after they asked Brennan himself if he had anything. I'd go so far as to imagine the organization has regulations on that kind of thing, if sharing sex slaves is as normal as when Al and Phil did it. And that one time Richard denied Jason's request for a condom, so yeah.
On the police's part, I imagine that Al would be easier to track down than Phil. Brennan heard what is presumably Al's real name (Alex? possibly Alexander? haha I always imagined him as an Allen before that) and if he works at a psychiatric hospital his info will be readily on file. Al and Phil might've been better off using fake names but I guess that's a hard charade to keep up for months and months. I seem to vaguely remember in an earlier version of the first chapter or two, they argued when one accidentally revealed the other's name but yeah, guess it wasn't a problem in the end. Well, now it's a problem for them. lol Anyway, if Phil is self-employed, he might be tougher to find than Al.
It'll be nice to see Brennan finally home and out of the hospital! I wonder what will happen now. I'm sure he has many relatives and friends desperate to meet him. I can't remember if it was mentioned if the media knows Brennan was kidnapped to be a sex slave? It's unusual but not completely unheard of in this day and age, especially not if Brennan looks like a young teenager. Just in the past week or so I heard about a 14 year old boy being kidnapped and raped. I dunno, knowing that a "teen" boy was kidnapped (and not murdered, as he's back now), how many possibilities come to rational people's minds? some sadistic Saw movie scenario? non-sex slave trafficking (of a white boy in Mass)? Err, maybe they don't even know he was kidnapped, I guess some people could think he just ran away and got into trouble..
Anyway, great chapter, thanks as always for writing!
