Ha, didn't know there were any gay people in the Middle East. J/K

Good story so far. I like Rasheed's (did I spell it right?) character and Shay's character.

Looking foward to the next chapter! :)

No where in my review did I mention that Islam should be given higher regard than other religions, I have no reason to. I merely made the observation because I've read lots of stories which go down that direction, not neccessary on AFF, and I strongly disagree with it.
Anyway, I'm not goin to turn this into a debate. I love the family dynamic you've created, and I hope, again, that it doesn't turn insulting. Your either well researched or part of the religion, either way, it's a good story n I'll keep checkin for updates :)

Actually it's a good story so I hope it doesn't go to the way of insulting or having prejudices against a religion.

I'm interested to see how this story will develop. Islam and sexuality is not a subject matter I've seen tackled here before so I'm very intrigued.

I can only assume the direction the narrative will take but it seems fairly obvious that there will be personal and ideological conflict involved. I find it strange that the previous reviewers appear to have already assumed that this would be a more insulting or prejudiced subject matter than the several stories I've previously read on this site where characters have struggled to reconcile sexuality with faith. Is Islam entitled to a form of higher regard than other religions?

The threat of GLBT people to religion is non-existent. The threat of certain religious beliefs to GLBT people is real. I hope readers will put that fact into perspective before jumping to defend homophobic religious ideologies.

I really like this story. I am in love with the family already. I can only imagine how hard things will be for Rasheed to be gay and live in such a traditional family. His father does seem to be very wise however. I am very eager to read the next chapter.
