Wow, very interesting beginning! I'm very intrigued to see where you're going with this, I hope you can post more soon! I like your writing style a lot, too; that sort of snarky, too-smart first person narrative is one of my favorite styles when it's done right--which is not often.
I have to tell you though, I almost didn't read it... the title kind of turned me off. My first thought when I read it was that the author was using the title to tell us readers what s/he thought of their writing. I gave it a go purely out of curiosity, to be completely honest. A title should hook readers, not send them hurtling on towards the next story. (That's meant to be constructive criticism... I hope it doesn't read very harsh.)
