Damn cliffie! Very good chapter though... angst-sex.. .;) I'm sorry but it's WAAAAY past my bedtime and my eyes are hurting something feirce so I'm not even gonna TRY to say something intelligent this time... ;) (do I ever? Nah, whatever... ;) )

Aw, I'm disappointed that Matthew refused Vincenzo, :( but I guess it's better if they don't go in that direction unless the feelings and attraction are mutual (i.e. when Matthew stops pining for Asher). I adore Vinny. He is SO much better than Asher. I've never liked Asher because he was so robotic. He never felt human to me because he was always so cold, and aside from anger (which was still a cold type of anger), he was practically emotionless. I never felt any kind of passion from him and the sex he had with Matthew was almost mechanical because of that lack of passion. I'm not sure if he's like this naturally, or if the mafia-like business he's in has turned him into such a hard, cold, and unfeeling man. Either way, I don't find him attractive or appealing at all, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how Matthew fell in love with him, or why so many readers like him so much. There isn't enough 'life' in him for me to like him. I could tell that he genuinely cared about Matthew's wellbeing, since he kept him protected and safe (most of the time), and I think that makes him an admirable man, but he's definitely not lover material. He's just too lifeless, and I could never figure out what he felt for Matthew, aside from physical/sexual attraction. It certainly never seemed like he was in love. And I suppose it doesn't help that this story is only from Matthew's POV, so I don't know if Asher is truly so indifferent and apathetic, or if he just has a rock solid poker face that hides all of his emotions, one that Matthew/I couldn't see past.

Anyways, thanks for the update. I hope your schoolwork won't be too brutal, but you're right that it takes precedence over this story, so just update when you can. No worries. ;)

I did not see that coming. It appears that Matthew has learned more from Asher than he thought.
But anonymous sexual encounters aren't going to solve anything.

OMFG, who sees him?????? Asher????? Omg, now the waiting game begins! I will anxiously be waiting for the next chapter! :)

You know, I was thinking with all of Matthew's hang-ups and issues, (or are they one in the same?), anyway...with all his problems regarding intimacy, I'm surprised he just didn't go all hetero! lol That way he wouldn't really have the opportunity to compare a female to Asher. And of course I understand why he never wants to be kissed and of course why he would never be on the bottom. But to try and forget all that is Asher, I would think being with a woman would help him. Of course I'm thrilled he's NOT, I'm just thinking of his mental state.

Anyway...awesome chapter and wtf is going on w/Vincenzo? Every time Muffin thinks about Asher, his Italian is gonna kiss him? lol That's kinda creepy.

Loved the scene w/Leah and her nightmare. Poor kid.
