God, I didn't know where to review, so I'm going to try to compile it all into one. First, I wanted to apologize...I had a notepad that was MASSIVE in which I jotted down notes on every single moment that brought forth a strong reaction from me in the story Muffin. But, somehow, I ended up deleting it (a long with a LOT of important data that I simply LOST in a matter of seconds). Hopefully I'll be able to express all that I felt. The story became a long-running movie in my head. Most books and stories that I read, I envision them as mini series in my head in as many episodes as there are chapters. But, for Muffin, I spent two days reading it NONSTOP and it became just one big movie in my head. An amazing, action-packed, suspenseful, and angsty film that managed to wrap EVERYTHING up in the end while still hinting at an optional sequel. Muffin's wit and sarcastic way of thinking, hearing, and seeing everything made sure that there was never a boring moment in the story. Not a single one. In fact, I will shamefully admit that sometimes I gloss over paragraphs when I read a long story and focus on the speech of the characters and important moments, but I read every single word(along with the rare typo or two) in Muffin. Every single one. Sometimes, I even read between the lines. If Asher farted, it was read. If Porto thought "fuck, if I had realized I was going to die today saving your scrawny ass without eating a final decent meal...", then it was also (imaginatively) read. Muffin grew on me to the point that I kept thinking of him as "my boy", as if I had given birth to him or something (which is ridiculous seeing as how he's now close to my age in the story Matthew). And I justified every little thing Muffin did, even the wrong decisions he made, I justified them all...even though I knew that most of them would bite him in the ass later, he still had his reasons for doing them at that moment in time and I supported him! He just grew so much during the events of the story. I was amazed how he finally accepted at least some of his true self in the end. It was rather inspirational, even.

As for the story Matthew. I knew that as soon as I saw only eight chapters so far that it was going to royally kick my ass when I got to chapter 8. And it did. I'm already mourning over reading it so fast (kind of how one would mourn eating that last piece of a golden, fluffy muffin instead of saving it for later). The one moment that brought the biggest reaction from me was when Matthew started talking back to Vincenzo. My reaction was similar to Vin's, as I too thought "He's back! That's the biting sarcasm I know and love". My heart ached when I heard Mat's co-workers (and friends) describe his mannerisms during the four years of his 'disappearing act'. Though I adore Vincenzo and his sharp way of knowing when to back off (something that Asher never did, and was one of the things I didn't like about him...the way he pushed Matthew unnecessarily far constantly without explaining anything [which totally came back to haunt him, you deserved the momentary betrayal because of it! hope you learned you lesson about keeping
important people in your life in the dark that badly])...and hell, I even got a kick out of Vin's vow to kiss Matthew whenever he thought about Asher. Talk about possessive jealousy, "Nope, you're not allowed to even THINK of that guy, understand?"...it may not be the best way of handling things, but I still love it. But, as much as I'm supportive of Vincenzo and his feelings for Matthew...I kind of miss that bastard Asher. I can't wait to see what Asher will do when he knows his precious Matthew's in the hands of his twisted cousin Carter. Though, I wonder who will show up first...Asher, or Alrick seeking the ultimate, most painful death of the man that kidnapped his beloved daughter? Speaking of Leah, that poor baby. It was so painful when Carter tried to traumatize her by allowing her to inspect Matthew's hand and Matthew tried to get her to not look. I mean, there's the reason that Vincenzo was so careful with her! The gang (Asher and his crew) struggle with the skeletons in their closets enough as it is, so none of them would wish such horrors onto that sweet little girl. In the end, I was kind of rooting for Carter to get Asher up in there and remind him what's really important...holding a grudge about a HALF-betrayal, or keeping his precious ones alive? I mean damn.

I pray to God u can hopefully update soon! I cant wait :D!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! YES! i didn't expect a chapter so early so when i checked just now i was SO happy to see one. and it has loads of action in too! and ASHERS COMING BACK NEXT CHAPTER RIGHT? :D YAY! i think i might explode with joy in a minute lol. i'm always extremely hyper when i see you've updated and it really does feel like i'm about to implode. can't quite understand what is wrong with matthew's hand, i'm going to read it again once i post this and try figure it out. i actually only made an account on this site to review your stories and your story is the only story that i review with every chapter, asherasherasherasherasherasherasher! can't wait for the next update (seriously i'm gonna look like 5 times a day now lol) can't even imagine how asher and matthew will react when they see eachother so that will be really interesting :) angrysex? ;) loliwish

I was thinking along the line when Matt was making his distressed call.
"If you don't come he'll end up killing Leah and me. And I thought you would like the pleasure of killing me first. So I thought I should let you know. . ."

This thought made me laugh. Maybe Asher would run out the door for his chance, well at least Leah would be okay. However Not so much for Matt. Dear lord you have me by the neck and I wanna know what happens. Hope Carter is stupid enough to let Asher near him so he can be strangled and killed. 8D I'm so enthusiastic about all this killing going around. And what the hell will Vincenzo do once he finds this out. He's going to want and kill Matt too. Jesus all the men who are infatuated with Matt want to kill him. xD
I await the next update . . no matter how long that might be.

oh yes, and LEAH! but really, im more of MATTHEW!!! MATTHEEEEEEEEEEWW!!!!!!!! and just a small bit 'leaaah'... coz... ITS MATTHEWS ANGST MAN!!! this is a MUFFIN STORY!!! leah is just conviniently there to put some human heart into matthew, else really, I can just see him giving up and waiting to die if not for her being there.
so, yes, thou she is probably one of the KEY reasons for our main character idiot here to keep fighting on, somehow, they way she's played out doesn't really feel big. or maybe it's just me....

Well, you wrote an awesomely suspensful chapter for someone who was sick in bed! lol I do hope you're feeling better tho; even if we have to wait awhile for the next chapter! :)

So...Roger and Carter; those cads! I was shocked; I certainly was NOT expecting "Oliver" to be Roger. And didn't Muffin SEE Oliver in the bar when he had to leave? He introduced himself to Oliver and told him to tell Ashley he had to leave, right? I guess he didn't get a good look at him, hmmmm?

So, of course Asher's gonna show up! And it just intrigues me more, with all of Asher's connections...he has to have major connections, right? He could't track Muffin down, but everyone else did! lol

Cannot wait for the confrontation....maybe Asher will run to Muffin, to make sure he's ok, well, ok, maybe not, but I know when he lays his eyes on his Muffin for the first time in four years, the anger and pain will disappear. (Well, I hope it does at least!) :)

I cannot BELIEVE you updated so FAST! At first I thought you edited the chapter but then I was like "the hell? Holy moly it's another one!!". I squealed and there was impromptu dancing...

There was so much in this chapter that it is still digesting but I can't wait for Asher to come to the rescue.

And yea, it must be annoying to keep seeing the "BETTAH" wars. I'll stop pushing for my Vinny for now since you asked. Only when the occasion especially calls for it ;)
