I <3 plot, this story, your writing, Matt, Vincenzo, Asher...uhm, I could go on but I think you get the idea. ;)

Hi, long time reader/ lurker. Started reading your stuff in the very early chapters of Muffin. I've always found your plots alluring and the characters appealing and well rounded. Even your villains like Michael are somewhat likable in the sense that they are a good villain, give the "heros" someone to work against, and the reader loves to hate them.

However, I feel the need to say something about Ashley. She is one of Matthews friends, and therefore I can only assume a character whom you (the reader) are supposed to root for. I do not find this the case with Ashley. She is a thoroughly annoying character, and I found myself actually relieved when we were informed that she would be leaving, and likewise disappointed that she is now staying. I get that she and Matt are "friends", but she is oblivious, pushy, rude and loud-mouthed; none of these are likable traits. I'm not sure what part of Ashley is supposed to be redeemable. She gives advice I suppose, but Rick and Vince could easily do that, and they are not annoying and privacy-intruding like Ashley. If she is supposed to be liked, maybe you could tone down the annoyingness a bit? I find myself skipping scenes where she comes in, and she is somewhat distracting from the plot and from Matt.

All that being said, if one character is the only thing I can really critique in two extensive stories of yours, then I think you are doing a wonderful job as an author. I always look forward to reading new chapters! I think you have an amazing amount of talent as a writer.

Loved the scene in the phone booth. "Fuck, he was creepy".... I love Matt so much some times. Carter is just such a great old fashioned mob-villian. I beginning to wonder if this making Matt fall in love with Asher is just a huge revenge plot on Asher's side. Betray Matt just as bad as Matt betrayed him just to get even. I hope not because Asher and Matt were just made for each other and I'd hate to see Matt with someone else.

Asher! Asher!Asher! Asher!!!!!! <3 I love him. He'd terrify the pants off me but oh man I'd also melt in his presence! I love Matthew's awkward ideas about how to seduce and make Asher fall in love with him. I am so excited to see what happens next. Thank you for updating I was so HAPPY to see it!!

Contrary to what someone else said, I think Ashley is fine. It's so strange why girls who read slash find female characters more annoying in these stories than male characters. Eye roll! Ashley is a good support character for Matty. I like her personality.

Also I have to say, Asher is so obvious with his obsession with Mat. I wonder why Mat doesn't see it. XD I mean, doesn't asher have better things to do than look after a coffee shop? He's friggin loaded! Plus it seems like he doesn't want to put himself in a position of vulnerability anywhere (especially with Carter on the loose) so plunking himself down in an obvious place in public is like o.O to me. He is already in love! He and Mat just both need to get over their pride and awkwardness.

Sometimes I wonder why Asher just doesn't let it out and ask why Mat betrayed him. It's like Ash has some secret form of aspergers only with Mat. I want to kick him.

Oh, so happy to see this plot-driven update! I love plot so I was happy with this chapter and although the minimal interaction between Asher and Matt made me sad, but I'm sure it's all heading somewhere. So, I like like our supporting cast and think they're very well fleshed out for being secondary characters. They form a sort of stability for Matt and I think that's good.

Asher, Asher. How infuriating he is. I wonder if he's doing his mob boss business in the coffee shop office alongside taking care of the shop XD. The whole coffee/tea thing was pretty hilarious and it's funny to see Matthew at a loss of what to do.

Hope to see more chapters.

Omg. Yay, an update! I'm so excited; you finally managed an update. Btw, I'm really loving these long chapters. I can't wait to find out more. Like why is Asher the bar? And does it play out? Does Matthew lose? And what's with Asher's "make me fall in love with you"? Is he just trying to mess with Matt, or does he really want Matt to make him fall in love with him? Or is he already in love with Matt, but wants Matt to fall in love with him (Asher)? Especially since he seems to be employing some of those tactics Ashley mentioned (with how he's insinuated himself into Matt's life and seems to be popping up everywhere Matt goes). As you can see, I've got a lot of questions here, so please update again soon! So I can get some answers. Thanks!

so..i wanted to say that i'm glad to read about all of them again, i loved muffin!
and sorry to say, i would prefere 'Mario' and matthew together!nothing agains asher, but i think they would make a nice couple! ^^
