Okay ... I think your story is one of my favourite things on the internet now! Suspense! Killing sprees! Mad forest chases!
Your pacing is excellent despite making the characters lock up in a lake house, because hey mysterious plot clues!
Asher mellowed a bit, still not fancying his controlling character - did he really have to buy his ex's workplace? However, having Matt stand up to him and set him straight in the train was priceless. Well ... still don't like this guy :P - I certainly don't want him dead, he needs to sort himself out (and his crazy family business). When Alrick mentioned the "sleeping problem" I'd wondered if it's new, can't really remember if Asher had slept through the night. Don't think it's because of him (maybe) being married or a random disease. I love how logical Alrick is and he had said the bitter truth - no one from their world can have a normal relationship. I wonder how it'll play out because I've never in my life seen anyone succesfully leave a gang.

AHHH!!! Oh lord what a cliff hanger, and I was so afraid this was going to happen!! I hope Muffin and Ash are both okay, one way or another. But I have a feeling there's going to be more pain before it gets better! GREAT CHAPTER!!! So intense!

Oooh thank you so much for the quick update! And jeez, I was sure for a few moments that Asher was a goner and Matthew sentenced to a life of unhappiness and woe. Thankfully, he's alive for now and will hopefully continue to be. But dum dummmmmm, the moment I have been personally waiting for, the moment they find out about Muffin's addiction and dependence on various antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds and how they're gonna deal with that. Specifically Asher cause I can't imagine he'll be too happy.
And Elena! I hope she's ok. I like that fierce girl. As for the happy ending requests, count me in as one of the voices begging for it. You can torture them all the way to their HEA but just as long as they get it, I'm happy. Excellent writing, lovely chapter, hope to see more!

I really love this story. Your writing style is excellent (in my humble opinion as I'm not a writer myself but someone who enjoys reading a good story). Well I wish I could tell more but English is not my first language and sometimes it gets difficult to express exactly my thoughts.

Oh man, another cliffhanger! I am so excited you updated! There are all these new questions and doubts forming, I love how you keep us guessing.
Thank god Alrick still cares for Muffin, I would have been heartbroken if he was truly mad at him. I feel bad for Vincenzo, but not really. Its good to see Asher kept on his toes. I also like how V isn't really scared of Asher.
All that being said, I really love how the characters have changed for this story. Don't get me wrong, I love me some snarky Muffin, but its been a few years and he's grown up. He's lost a lot and been through hell, no wonder his behavior is more sobering. I also appreciate how he stands up to Asher, I don't think he's quite the quivering puddle of goo Asher could reduce him to. And I am glad Asher is changing for Muffin.
I really hope there is a happy ending for these two, no acts of martyrdom or "running" for Asher, just some kind of resolution for these two fuckers! Please!
