Yay, another chapter! I've been waiting very patiently for this, and will do so again because every chapter is well worth the wait. :)

And finally: Azi in dragon form! The cat is out of the bag now, so I wonder what will happen... Would Greg be okay with sharing Owen? Anyway, I really hope that they can find a solution that makes everyone happy (and doesn't involve maiming of any kind). I'm really rooting for Azi/Owen but I don't want Greg hurt either (and Birdbrain is so naughty for encouraging Azi's killing instincts!)...

Also, I'm very pleased to see characters from "Haunted City" - and particularly Tobias! I really have a soft spot for him (catboy demon: what's not to like?). Actually, since you said this story takes place several years after HC, is Toby back with Jericho now? I truly hope so! *fingers crossed*

To go back to Azi, I guess his human body has changed too? So, what does he look like now? And Owen's feelings still seem a little ambiguous - is he really the reincarnation of Azi's "treasure"? Are his feelings for Azi his own or traces from a past life? I did love how he reacted to Azi the dragon, though: smacking him away like that and treating him so casually (after the initial shock had passed, of course) - he must have looked so badass (or crazy?) to the others! But that's what I love about their relationship: Owen can be so down-to-earth faced with Azi's poetic lunacy/crazy antics. :) And his "I love you just for existing in the world" was beautiful and resonated on a very personal level with me, because I'm an extremely rational person but secretly it would be my dream to have supernatural beings such as dragons revealed to truly exist.

Sorry for the personal reference, but I just wanted to let you know how I can (quite intensely) identify with and love your stories, particluarly "Treasured" and "Haunted City". It's this well-written mix of reality and supernatural, coupled with the great characters that make them so special to me. So, thank you very much for writing and sharing them.

I'm kind of confused about what's going on. i think i liked the story better if the old man was really just an old man with delusions about being a dragon...

YAY! One of my favorite stories has been updated(and with new characters). I've really liked this story since the first chapter because you've delved right into character development. Instead of introducing a crazy plot and relying on its events to develop the characters, the characters have been established first. Now as the events unfold, it's fascinating to seen how Azi(and Owen) change because of them. I'm really excited to see where this goes now(I hope we see Azi in his dragon form again)!
