Lovely -- I was sucked into the story and definitely look forward to more of your tales. I Love my female characters strong. Mama and Aria are perfect!

I'm very partial to cats, so that may color this a bit! I loved it. I love the familiars, the hint of magic, the background, it melded together nicely!
I would love to see this expanded into a story, to learn more about the history and see if she can lead them to peace. I'm intrigued!

It was a little jumpy in the beginning, which probably has to do with the limited word count, but it was a good piece overall. I really enjoyed reading it. :)
