It's lovely to have Aine back, and this chapter was a tease as well! Wicked, wicked Witch...
I love how you weave the old ways, and the legends, and make them new again. I wonder how much those Warrior Captains will regret their insistence on standing watch.

I felt for Connor, familial disruptions are more painful than any I think. I had to look for the Q word, I was too bsy inhaling the story!

Chapter 28
This is sublime, my Witch. Just sublime. The imagery is so perfectly rendered that I felt like I was peering from outside the circle, and watching like some impetuous voyeur. Connor is nothing short of magnificent, and, oh! How glorious he is, as you describe him. I envy Aine.
I'll be waiting eagerly to see how this unfolds.

Oh, this story never fails to draw me in, and I'm bewitched more with each chapter. I will admit to feeling a twinge of sympathy for Tiran, but I'm sure we'll find out why Aine is so very furious with him, even after all this time.

Oh, this was dark indeed, and a terrible glimpse into the past. Such a violation of that sacred trust should never have been allowed, and I have a feeling the King will have paid dearly for that transgression.
