i've been struggling to find time to read through the chapters i've missed since i saw the last chapter posted. i'm glad i've finally been able to finish reading this and i have to applaud you for a job well done. i've been wondering what else could be involved when you've mentioned that this isn't a case of stockholm syndrome. it's interesting to take it to a different psychological disorder. i love reading psych stories and this can be among my favorites.

you've written this well, took me into Aiden/ Mark's world and actually felt affection and fear and hate for joey. it's sad that joey had to kill himself in the end but i can't imagine any other ending for him. it seems joey was really in love with the original aiden that when that aiden died, he sought a replacement and saw it in mark. i wish there was a brief explanation as to how aiden have died... but i know not all fictions have complete resolution in the end. readers can only assume, form their own conclusion ans somehow i've gotten a feeling that the original aiden probably died under the cruel hands of joey? i think.

i feel for mark. he'd been in captivity - regardless of how much he denies he was held against his will - for five years. that will certainly leave a scar in his life. i hope skylar will stick around for a long time (maybe forever) and help mark heal. maybe you can write a sequel about skylar and mark's relationship? but the closure in this story is good enough.

I'm so sad this is over, but it was a great story. Will there be a sequel?

I've been holding back from reading this story until it finishes! So yup I just finished reading the 3 last chapters back to back! I did the right thing! I couldn't have stood waiting for an update!

and wow! I can't believe it's finished! I really got used to read it! How many months is it since the first time you sent it on AFF?! Well, first of all well done! Such a nice fic! with a great plot! I have not read anything like this until today! I guess you are a true psychologist! lol and I guess you really love your major ^_^

Well I guess Mark is HIV positive as well! :( I just hope it wouldn't turn to aids ... sigh ...

wow, already ended! thank you so much for writing this story! it's really great from the beginning until the end! i really enjoy this story! :) i feel sad for Joey, such a sad story of him T.T i was hoping Mark and Joey can be happy together in the end (i know i am twisted :P). but i like the ending nonetheless, good job! :)

Wow, that was an amazing story. I'm happy he got out and is recovering and yet sad that he had to go through so much.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe it's finally over.

I have to admit I am rather sad that Joey killed himself and thought that somehow him and Aiden/Mark would end up together again in the end but not in death. So, if Joey gave Mark the HIV virus how can he be with Skylar? Is he on some kind of drug that is keeping his under control? I am sure they have safe sex too just to be careful Skylar doesn't get infected. He knows about it I am sure.

Anyway, great story and very well written. I was hooked from the beginning to end.

oh. my god... this is one sick twisted case of stockholm syndrome i hope NEVER exists in real life, but somehow, I'm doubtful. definitely in real life, it exists, and we might never know. he could be your quiet neighbor.

Well done, I have followed this story since you started uploading the 1st chapter. Nice.

You know what?

This, is the BEST chapter of the entire story.

and I cannot believe you wrote FIVE years in 11 chapters, I can never do that somehow, and you did that. and those 5 years are clear. and vivid. and fleshed out with emotion and transition and detail. and just plain awesome.
it was Dark, yes. it was very horrible (in emotion sense) nearly all the time, yes. but was it written out awesomely? Hell. Yes.

and what more can we ask for. but complete closure, tear-jerking, exhaled breaths of relief, happy (it's happy yeah xD compared to everything else in the story.) ending.
True true, such endings probably do not happen in real life situations. but people need hope. that's what happy endings are for.

but seriously. this last chapter, how you'd end the kidnapping. how you'd described Aiden's transition back into Mark. and everything. I felt it was done great.

Wow, this was really something. I'm glad i stuck with this story throughout its heart-wrenching ANGST, to see / read this silver lining. :D I'ts a great feeling Selim. Thank you~

Congrats on a very well written Stockholm Syndrome story and I hope that Mark can eventually be happy.
If you have time with your busy schedule, please try to write some more stories like this. I have conflicted
emotions about what happened to Joey but guess it was for the best.
