This is such an interesting story. I don't know how it's going to end so quickly. I like Shin though. The very unemotional approach of them genetics kinda freaks me out. I'm use to a very loving family. :) great job!

Looks like it's time to go find a breeding partner at the party. That will be an interesting dynamic I think, since it seems like the two main characters are eventually a pair :) An investigator and the high social ranking thief. It's a time used problem in a relationship, but you've got enough of a unique spin on it to make it really interesting. It's an interesting world with societal flaws which just fill the story with potential. The accepted social hierarchy based on the rich and genetically advanced being on top and the dependence of the highest rank on the second highest, for example. I'm curious how the second growth will affect things, Shin is in a desperate situation and family loyalty based on love doesn't seem to be something he can rely on. Also, how breeding works if a female isn't necessary...well, can't wait to read more. :D

This is a fantastic beginning so far. Kinda like a scifi phantom thief sorta story. I like it. :3 Can't wait to read the rest!
