The deputy is a dick!
I hope he gets shot in the ass, that way he can limp around a while, and have some trouble sitting. a good pistol-whipping upside the head to give him a matching headache.

I have always liked the moment of realization, the way it goes from thoughtful to slight surprise to "WOA!"
I could see Millie's face doing that at the end of this chapter. Classic!

Very good chapter! I love how it's all unfolding. Lynn's story is definitely gonna be one of the highlights, I'm almost positive. ^_^ I'm so proud that Millie was able to come clean about her feelings, too, even though she was so confused by them. Anyway, I can't wait to see what you come up with next! :)

OHSHIT. Apparently one of my friends is coming over. Right. Now. DDD:> Oh, right, I was supposed to be writing a review. Or rambling. Which ever. 'Cause said friend isn't here yet. But so, I want some potato wedges now, thanks to Candy. Well, I think my stomach would be happy with anything, but wedges (definitely not wedgies) sound good right about no--OH SHE'S HERE. And now you've distracted me on tumblr, so this is taking a lot longer to finish. Hm. This has been sitting here, in this tab, for a while now without being written in. I think I might be done. D:

I watch this story like i watched 'Therapy'. I'm not surprised to see that Candy and Saige have got on this bandwagon as well. They have great taste.

Pfffft. A cliffhanger every chapter doesn't merit an ignore order from me, not when it's one of my favorite new stories. *draws circles on table with finger* And how did I get *that* status? Was it that sarcastic comment about the temperature? I think it just might have been. (95 degrees won't ever be the same, yanno.) Speaking of the weather in an indirect, nonsensical way, it's raining today. And I have to ride my bike in it. With my school stuff. I'm gonna see about taking my friend up on her offer of getting a ride home, especially because I don't know if when I leave, if I'll be going straight to the school after lunch/dinner, or if I'll be coming back home and *then* leaving. We're going for Mexican, I do believe. Either that, or Chinese, and either/or's fine with me. (Am I rambling enough for you? Hopefully not, because my friends haven't come back yet, so I'm going to continue. If I have over-rambled, well, I'm sorry. Not really, but I feel obligated to say that. Hm. Maybe I shouldn't have said the last bit. Oh, well. Not going to take it back now.)

Oh, so, my cat really did scratch my knee the other night. It didn't really itch, though, just... kind of bleed, and twinged with pain whenever I moved my knee (right on the cap, too) or accidentally touched it. I was kinda surprised that the band-aid didn't come off in the shower. (I wonder if it'll come off by itself, of if I'll have to peel it off... You prolly didn't wanna know about that, so I'll move on.) Have you seen any good movies lately? I saw The Losers on Saturday; rented it while I was out biking. (Did you know that Shop-n-Save isn't open at quarter-after-five-in-the-morning? I thought it was. I thought wrong.) Oh, hey. Even after adjusting the size of the review box, I have a scrollbar. Long review is long with lots of rambling. I think it just might have been the longest one I've typed out yet. Sadly, I kinda hope that my friends get here soon, because I'm afraid that if I don't submit this soon otherwise, I'll end up writing another oneshot or something. XD Maybe a really random essay, actually. Gah. There's a fly flying around me. And it's making me feel all smelly-like, even though I just took a shower an hour ago. D: I dislike this. Millie amuses me greatly, have I said this? I actually said, "Oh, Millie," in that what-are-we-going-to-do-with-you tone when she asked what exactly a lesbian was. And then I laughed when she basically smiled and nodded like she understood when she didn't. But I think the best part of this chapter was the realization just hit her like a ton of bricks, maybe two tons.

Somebody's in loooooove. ;) Yes, thank god for Lawrence or that would've ended much worse than it already had. That damn deputy. I smiled, though, when I read that everyone in the bar was on Millie's side and some of the guys reached for their guns -- the metal kinds. XD But I did feel bad for her about that; it would be awfully humiliating. x/ Anyway, she's got the lesbian part of Lynn figured out! Now is Millie going to bring it up?! :) I hope so!

Hi Jester, Ok I'm caught up. I don't get on to read every day. I wonder did they even have that term back then for women. I really like it. So keep up the good work.

ah, the realization hits, such a conflicting time in a young woman's life... pity Lynn wasn't there to save her though. that deputy is a right ass to be tryin' something like that in the bar that she runs (giggles mischievously) he's gonna get himself shot.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this story. The time period is not one I have seen before actually which is nice to see such setting. Plus Lynn is a captivating character which makes her stand out more, due to where you have placed her, Kudos! I'm looking forward to see how this develops.
