I think this is a great introduction into the character. For a minute, I wasn't going to continue reading once I started because first person point of view is irritating, but as I read on I realized it was necessary for this character. Honestly so far I loved it. A bit quick in the end to cut off, but I would love to continue reading this to see how the story develops.

Wow, this is really good. You certainly have the grammar and way of speaking down pat for a little "bully". It brought tears to my eyes knowing that Miss Harper was just trying to get Noah (love that name, btw) to read every day.

Another story?! This one is very well written, too. I feel like I really know this character. And I feel sorry for him because everyone thinks he's some brutal idiot. But, really, he's very sweet. I can't wait for the next update. I want to see where Noah goes from here. Will working for this Don turn him vicious, though?

Wow, it takes a lot to pull me into a character within one chapter. You write with empathy and make the reader think, make them feel. Well done! Please don't stop.

Very interesting start! I like how you capture Noah's way of thinking, and it makes for a very personal look into his character and an instant liking. I look forward to more of this! ^^

Wow, this was great start. As in truly amazing. Well written, and sets up Noah's character nicely. Stories like these are the reason I keep returning to aff.net. I went and googled the painting and it really is beautiful. Though my favourite would be the digging nun =).

very very interesting start; the main character has already gotten me, very endearing and interesting....i'm getting the feeling that it's going to end up being those stories you stay up obnoxious hours at night reading for stories...really excited about this one!!! keep up the good work XD
