An interesting and well written story so far! I've never been a huge fan of murder mysteries probably because I enjoy a lot of character development and lots of angst whereas this genre requires focus on suspense and complex plot twist to keep it going. Still a bit early in the story but so far, you have maintained a fair balance. I'm not hooked yet but definitely intrigued! Please continue.

And the plot thickens! This is becoming quite the mysterious story! Can't wait for the next chapter!

This is a really good story. A really sad story also. It brought tears to my eyes when I read where Roddy was looking down at Ivan and all his torment and sadness at not being able to tell Ivan how he really felt about him came through. It was heartbreaking. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

BTW: this is very well written; I don't think you need a beta.
