This is really good! Although the subject matter is a bit heavy :) Nice to see a bit of a different take- has Michael been mute for a long time? Wonder what caused it? Update again soon!!

Oh my god no! I really, really like this story! You're a very good writer; I only wrote that b/c it was such a difficult chapter to read; I HATE reading about rape and beatings, and to top it off the poor kid was mute. No, it's a very good story. This chapter made me cry also. Stories that make me cry are EXCELLENT stories! lol

Thank you for using my suggestion; it reads so much better with spaces in between the dialogue.

This story is really interesting. Kinda sad and serious right now tho...I hope it gets happier within a couple chapters. But I'll be keeping an eye out for the next update!

Interesting twist having the protagonist mute. I'm curious where you'll go with this. How abbreviated you introduced Michael and jumping right into the rape leads me to think the 'suffering' will mostly revolve around how he recovers from his injuries and how he deals with the emotional trauma. There are so many angsty things you could do here, I hope you continue it!

This was horrible! It was very hard to read about the rape. Poor Michael; he couldn't even scream for help.

I do have one critique tho: The whole chapter was one long paragraph. Why don't you separate the dialoge by two spaces, and that will break up the paragraph.

What school do you go to in VA? Last week I drove my oldest down to Lynchburg; he was accepted into Lynchburg College. Boy, what a long drive; it tood 9 hrs.!!!!! But it is a beautiful school and a beautiful area.

Anyway, back to the story; I hope those thugs don't kill Michael; will someone find him?
