Update soon I just love your story and want to find out what happens to Charlotte! =D

I've absolutely never read anything on here with any sort of plot besides this and I'm addicted!!! I can't wait to see what you decide to do with the games. I really hope the first chapter is simply just an illness and not foreshadowing cancer... Please don't kill her off :) Maybe the unicorns could save her or something... :P As for ideas? I'd really appreciate some more scenes with some quality sexual tension!

Too bad Charlotte couldn't end up with Locke. ~snickers~ I think he'd be a better match for her.

New reader here. I just wanted to say that this story has a very intriguing plot, specifically, unicorns as mortal enemies of the fae, and that a virgin has the ability to control them. Unfortunately, my enjoyment of the story kind of ends there. At first, I really liked and admired the protagonist, Charlotte, because she was smart, feisty, strong, and fought back tooth and nail when Garrick tried to rape her. But in the recent chapters, it seems like she developed a mild case of Stockholm Syndrome. She actually found Garrick attractive and enjoyed/responded to the kiss, which I found extremely disturbing. The only saving grace is that she did realize what she felt was wrong and very dangerous, but only afterwords. During the act, she was compliant and actually found it pleasurable, which made me loose a ton of respect for her. And the fact that she found herself feeling desire for the first time simply because she found Garrick to be handsome, seemed so utterly shallow. If he had actually done something truly selfless and kind for her, then it wouldn't be so bad if she found him attractive, but he's still as much of a monster as he was at the beginning; a monster with a pretty face. It frustrates and disappoints me that she could ever forget that fact, even if it was only for a moment. I concede that Garrick isn't as monstrous as the other fae, but as Charlotte herself once mentioned, he's just the lesser of two evils. I hate Garrick with a passion and it would be the greatest gift to see him die a painful death, along with his wretched brethren. It's utterly disgusting that he desired a 14 year old girl, which makes him a pedophile, but at least he had a smidgen of decency to not act on his desires until she matured. But that bit of decency is pretty much nullified knowing that he spied on her for 4 years, no doubt witnessing many intimately private moments, which creeps me the f*ck out. It makes my skin crawl every time I think about that and every time he touches her. Other readers may be eager to see them have sex, but I for one abhor that idea. It would be like giving that sick bastard a reward for all the wrong that he has done, and that doesn't sit well with me. I guess I'm just tired of reading so many stories where the protagonist gets kidnapped by a sadistic, egocentric degenerate who strips them of their rights and dignity, treating them like property, some thing to be owned, and then the protagonist (appallingly) ends up falling in love with their captor and willing climbs into bed with them. It just sends the wrong message and I long for a story where the protagonist never loses their hatred for their captor and manages to get the upper hand so that they can make their captor pay for all the suffering he has caused them. For once I would love to see the captor not get what he so desperately wants, because he is so undeserving of it. Some readers may argue that Garrick truly loves Charlotte, and maybe he does, but it is certainly not a healthy kind of love. There is an overwhelming sense of ownership that encompasses that "love" and I find it so repulsive. And regardless of what type of love it is (whether it's true love or not), it should never excuse his callous and selfish actions. I seriously wanted to tear my hair out when, in the library, Charlotte thanked and hugged Garrick for bringing her books over. It's so utterly demented that she could ever thank her captor for anything, especially for something as insignificant as giving her books (it's not like he took a bullet for her). And Garrick's ass backwards way of thinking almost makes me vomit blood in rage. He actually thinks that Charlotte should be grateful that he hasn't raped her. Seriously? Was he dropped on his head as a child? Argh. I'm sorry for ranting but I had hopes that this story would have what I was looking for, and I guess I'm just disappointed. I can sense that Charlotte and Garrick will be a couple by the end of this story, whereas I was hoping she would escape, find the unicorns, and use them to exact bloody revenge on Garrick and the rest of the fae. But alas, this is a romance fic, (though it isn't labeled as one), so all of that is unlikely. Please don't get offended by my comments. That is not my goal. I know that there are many people that enjoy reading stories about love between a captive and their captor, and that's perfectly fine. It's fiction after all and people read for the pure enjoyment of it, not to study ethics. You're an excellent writer and I just wanted to leave a comment letting you know that I read your story and what I thought of it, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be following it. However, I wish you the best writing the rest of this story. :)

I'm really enjoying this story. I started reading it yesterday and had to pause several times to take care of RL things and so was only just now able to finish it. I look forward to seeing where you take Charlotte and the Fae that she's come into contact with. I've somehow got a suspicion that even the female that Hugh looks to will eventually come to see Charlotte as something worth protecting and keeping safe. Please keep up the wonderful work!

You've saddened me again! the new chapter was supposed to be up by the end of last week...its wednesday evening and no new chapter! :(

A very short chapter but if it keeps the story going it's all good =) Hope the next chapter will be longer ;D
