Oh my fricking goodness. I just sat here and read this from start to finish; it's AMAZING!! I saw it on someone's recommended reading list, though I sadly don't remember whose. I am very glad that I took the time to look it up, because I enjoyed reading this immensely!! Love the story! It has it's sad parts but I think it's got a good balance, since many many parts had me fangirling madly. The ending is wonderful! Magnificent story~

A realy great story! I got captured from the first line on. You somehow managed to tell the tragig moments of Des´ and Sam´s past without getting suppy or too cliche. I really hope you writhe a story for Sam and Alessandro. Would be interesting with both their pasts... or any new slash story for the matter. I would enjoy it anyway.

I don't usually write reviews but this story really deserve it! I'm frankly surprised that there isn't more reviews! I love this! Great job!

*follows happy ending fic rec list and reads story* Hum, this is a pretty good story. Well, aside from the annoying tense swaps and the need to learn to use the words "a" and "the" but plot and character development wise it's actually really good. I found the swaping back and forth between Gabriel & Rayhe and Desmond, Des & Spector quite interesting and effective. It really helped to emphasize how they were thinking/feeling about the other at any given moment.

I have to agree with TH on the 'I would like to know more about the world of your characters' comment. You really piqued my interest there but you kind of vered away from it towards the end.

I'm surprised this doesn't have more reviews! Great story with amazing characters. They remained dynamic throughout the whole story, and so did the plot. It was very well paced and it connected smoothly. The story does not drag out to forever, it has its conflict and resolution which is very satisfying by the way.

Maybe I'm just happy because it wasn't all that angsty and dark lol.

Something I noticed though, is that it was set in a completely different other than Earth. I would have liked to know more about the customs and traditions and guardians, it kinda strayed from that but got me interested.

I hope to see more stories in this universe that looks to be VERY(!) interesting to read about. Thanks for the good read. ~

That was lovely. Desmond was such a great character, and Gabriel such a nice match for him. And I very much enjoyed how we learned more about Des in little pieces throughout the story. Great angst moments, nice sex (yummy), and I had such a happy smile at the end. I enjoyed the little glimpses of the world of the story, with the guardians and such, but kind of wish I could have seen more. Or maybe that I knew more about it so it fit into the current plot more, if that makes sense. In the end, though, I had a huge smile on my face, so happy that Des and Gabriel are together, and Sam finally has a chance at finding a way to live with what happened to him with people who care about him. I'm SO putting this on my happy-ending rec. list! :-)

I just recently started reading. I like it a lot. It just kind of messes with the flow when you keep switching between Gabriel and Rayhne. It would be more consistent if you stuck with one name.

The story was great, I loved the interaction between the two main characters, the addition of Sam was fabulous and amusing. The characters were fleshed out well. As far as grammatically, you switched out the tenses in a couple of places, and that got a bit irritating/confusing at times, but overall, I was really satisfied with the fic.

Great job, and thanks for uploading so many chapters at a time! I hate cliffhanger endings, I really don't think I could have handled this fic otherwise. Lol.

How does Des and Gabriel not kill each other - why did the hateful woman believe Desmond would be a Guardian? and how do they help save such a corrupt place?
