I loved this chapter!!!! Very good work here, I like how things are progressing. Hopefully, everything works out. Maybe even the village will get what they all deserve ;)

Oh man, I was laughing so hard when they were dressing him up. Poor guy - and then he has to trek through the forest like that!

Can't wait to see Farus' reaction.

Chapter 3 really covered a lot of ground. This is an excellent story and I think your plotting is really paying off. I am also reading Lessons in Patience and I love that too. I am sure the Forest God already knows that Seerva is male. I just hope he will be okay with his new bride regardless of gender. I can't wait to read more. Good writing.

Okay if he wasn't going to get mad before, now I am sure he is. They scarred his "bride's" back apparently. Tied him up, dressed him horribly, and messed with his hair. I hope the bastards get a natural disaster or attacked by wolves or something. Poor bambi boy.

I'm so glad for the quick updates, hope you continue with them! It also seems (going off your review response) Rashae and Seerva are a lot like the animals they turn into, attitude-wise. Can't wait for the next chapter and the ceremony!

GREAT chapter! ^___^ Everything seem to fall in place and I'm glad I could help if my last review gave you some food for thought :) It's a bit sad that even though Seerva has every reason to hate the village and even his sister he doesn't. I mean in many stories related to twins, there's always this constant envy that one twin have for the other if you know what I mean. I'm sure when Seerva is all by himself at the dead of the night, he would have wondered. What will happen if he was born first? If they never switched? If maybe he was born a girl too? ...etc. It's encouraging that he hasn't lost his innocence and love for the forest and his only sister almost nine years later. A part of me is like WOW he's almost 19 years old! Before he seemed too young now maybe a little too old to get married xD But whatever works, works.

In this chapter, I like how we get to delve into what Rashae thought of her situation as the Bride. In the beginning, I thought she was selfish because she liked being the princess of the village. To be special. But in this chapter, it's a 360! The readers get to understand that she can't stand it. That she doesn't want her future to be written out for her and she wants adventure and the freedom to do whatever she wants. I love the visuals you gave of the almost 19 years old Rashae since she sounds completely different and in a good way.

Well, I'm sure we all know what the village is planning. Now that Rashae is no where to be found, they're probably going to present Seerva as the Silvan Bride. I'm assuming that the village already tried torturing him in his eights years to get the information about his sister to no results. I hope the village is feel the wrath from the Forest God because it seems to me that Seerva was meant to be the actual Bride since he was the "sycamore leaf" mark. Though I'm sure if it appeared /because/ of the ceremony of because he's the actual Bride... I hope it's that latter because if I was the God... HELL NO that the village basically belittled and tortured my bride-to-be for all his life! And I can't believe the village is going to put him as the bride. I mean, I understand that something HORRIBLE (that's not explained and even Seerva doesn't know) will happen if there was no bride but isn't kinda obvious when one's a boy and the other's a girl? But then again, if Seerva is really the bride then I guess all is well (except hopefully for the God's wrath!). I really do hope something horrible will happen to all those nasty village people! There's no excuse for treating a child horribly even if he's different! Grr!!

Anyways, can't wait for the next chapter! And I read "Farewell to Reason" last night so I hope you'll update that some time soon too ;) *nudgenudgewinkwink*
