Wow. The scene between Takumi and Shinakio... Shinakio's unanswered love, Takumi's oblivion to the emotion.
Takumi only fully realizing what he had, after he lost it.
Honestly, that setting is stereotypical. But very very true nonetheless.
it's one of those... classics, that no matter how many times you come across it, it will pull at your heart strings and stir up sadness all the same like you've heard it the first time.

*sighs*

Stupid Shinakio~! Young love is so strong! and so dangerous... which leads to strong repercussions... and deadly outcomes.

and those who don't know love, don't care much for it, are so oblivious to its importance, so oblivious when it's right in their face. And they can only cry and regret, after they have realized they've lost it.

Wow wow.
I'm glad to know that you are an author who goes into depth with this complex emotion. You bother to play it out, its various types, its various victims. There can never be enough stories about love. There's just so many kinds of 'love' out there. And its a damn hard thing to try and portray it out into a different form.
So, I "wow" you for doing it, in one chapter. *sparkly moist eyes*

I just hope now. Takumi will move on... and hopefully, find new love?
And now I also see, how Chitose is such an important person to Takumi.
also now, that scene whereby Sugimoto gives Takumi the box, it makes more sense now.

Yay! I found your update before it left the 1st page of the latest page!

“Nothing for it, we both know it’s the truth. I only regret that there is such a thing for us to be so careful about.” What did Konbayoshi mean by this? Why did those words hurt Chitose? And why is their using Konbayoshi's name to form this Symbiotic relationship 'going this far'?

And then there's talk about 'that' uncle. and him choosing Chitose over Konbayoshi... but... Isn't Konbayoshi the owner now... so...?

and HAH! HAH! Owner 'did not notice' Chitose's bleeding thigh... the number one of his club, has a potentially scarring injury, and he does not notice - because- Kazuya had a little bruise and cut lip...
*rolls eyes*
if you say this is a 'small turning point' in the story... I can't wait for the major turning point! =D whooppieee~!!!
And then after raising my hopes on a more Owner X Kazuya... this birthday thing pop's up... honestly. Chitose and Owner have a very... complex relationship with each other... Somehow, I feel that. Owner feels that he cannot allow himself to break away from Chitose and the promises and traditions they have been practicing together. And because of this 'obligation' he feels, it is disallowing him to truly look at his feelings for Kazuya. (Of cause you can just blame his DENSE head too XD )


and aaaaaaaaaaaah... everyone's going off on business trips... including baku-sensei... and Chitose's left to run things... and I think this will coincide with Kazuya's 'initiation' night...
Oo0o0ouh, interesting yah?


... and then. suddenly... Akeno want's an exclusive with Takumi?! What happened to Gen?! Wasn't Gen Akeno's exclusive?!

IS he really... capable.... of murder? I think he is.... O_O
which brings me to think, that Chitose is sort of like 'guarding' his position as number 1. which also means, there's no way in hell Kazuya is getting that position. I wonder what will happen to Kazuya should Chitose find out that he is aiming for the number 1 spot... D= gaaaaah! Chitose will murder Kazuya!!!

ahahhhahha! that wont happen, I know. you can't KILL the main character so soon anyway.

But yeah...
This chapter was rather, intense... Very... political... Like... watching a chess match....

And Kazuya... heed your sempai's advice... "Try to get along with Chitose..."
But yeah... I guess Kazuya now feels 'fear' towards Chitose... but honestly, if I were in his shoes... I would feel fear, yes, but also... AWE... *A*

lastly... So. busybody Shouto Ren goes and pays a visit to Chitose... get's bossed around, hates it, but then - ends up loving it...
Chitose has Ren around his little finger doesn't he... XD The no.2 seme host holds no power againt the no.1. XD
Even Takumi holds high respect for Chitose.

Juka~~~~! yay an update! and not long after my own update! Yay yay yay! Seems like around friday many people were updating! *is on a high*
Anyway, on to the review!

I had to stop while reading half-way coz mum called to do the dishes.
So while doing the dishes... I mused and mused and my thoughts went flying...

I went thinking, that maybe, that 'Kuma' (lol. bear!) gang were the ones who raped Kazuya... and I was thinking... what if what you wrote did not happen... what if it happened differently...
What if they had took up what Kazuya said and left Chitose alone and went for Kazuya instead... and raped him again!!!! D= wouldn't that be a sight for owner to see when they were found. D=

But hey. honestly... THANK GOD! thank god a diversion popped out so that Kazuya's evil plan did not manage to be put into play... in the end, from the way Kazuya was frantic over Chitose's safety... Well, I guess he doesn't have the heart to be that mean to anyone. truly.

But jealousy is a very evil monster.


Btw, most of the part, like the conversation between Owner and Chitose in the car, then the conversation between Baku-sensei and Chitose (also in the car) . Those conversations had me having to read them over again to roughly try understand what they were meaning...

First, Chitose and Baku banter away like kids when the situation was so serious. then owner just ups and grabs Kazuya away. I honestly was thinking owner would be more overly concerned over Chitose! but he even just left Chitose there, hauling Kazu into the car.
Then Chitose goes out of his way to prove a point to Owner than obviously will cause tension between them. then "By reminding Konbayoshi of their differences, Chitose knew he was admitting defeat to himself already." Does Chitose mean he gives up and sorta like, surrenders? In a way, so that, Kazuya is free to dive in and try steal owners heart?

Then. Chitose and Baku talk in the car. "“We both know what happened.”"... What does chitose mean? Because, as it is. Everyone knows of Kazuya's infatuation with the owner except for the owner himself. So that means, Chitose and Baku knows that Kazuya likes Owner... and they both also know, that Owner's actions on that day proves that Owner is more than normally concerned over KAzuya. which meaaaannnsss... OWNER LIKES KAZUYA TOO! but like a pre-schooler, he doesnt know his own feelings. argh stupid stupid!

And then... AND THEN!!! Owner goes all the way to fuss over Kazuya. When the one who needs medical assistance is actually Chitose. This is a very... god-duuuuuhhh! situation.
If a simple bruise and cut on his lip can grab all attention, so much so that even Chitose's bleeding thigh is ignored! che! Owner definately has it hard for Kazuya!

so yeah.

There is my summary of my analysis of chapter12.... please feel free to dump a whacker at me for my insolence, if you feel like it.

If he were a client. He wouldn't be asking for Chitose in the 1st place! He'd be asking for Konbayoshi! XD Then theyd have to tell him, "I'm sorry, the owner doesnt take customers XDDD"

So, also. Taking into consideration Chitose's "style" which is very much traditional. And Baku-sensei's "style" which is more, modern / up-to-date... A combination of both, wouldn't be so bad yeah? Why a freak of nature? XD

I guess... Kazuya is really turning into a 'freak' of nature at least. A freak with the sin of jealousy. Envy...
Ah curses.
I never seen this side of Kazuya before, and now, Kazuya too is beginning to scare me...
I know he didn't have an exactly clean innocent past... but... to deliberately lure your mentor into a dangerous place... with something not-so-nice planned out for him...

HAS KAZUYA LOST IT?!?!?! Honestly! I think I'd prefer it if he were heartbroken and emo-ing rather than scheming and plotting!
This scheming and plotting is turning his character into something ugly.

And it's not like anything happened with Owner and Chitose... thou, with owner in a bathrobe, carrying Chitose into his bedroom, there could only be one message... stupid. owner... gah! *headwall*

Stupid Kazuya! stupid stupid kazuya!!! I hope you change your mind at the last minute and bail both you're pretty uke-host asses out of there! *groans*

Oh any before anything else, I really really love what Chitose says.
“It’s a gamble, and if you’re willing to handle the consequences, then go for it. If not, then play it the safe way, retire for the evening once you’ve some winnings and enjoy the small leap of happiness.”
“If you play it safe, then you’ll certainly never experience that devastating pain after a loss. However, at the same time, if you play it safe, you will also never experience that ecstatic joy after a win.”

Its soooo deep... so insightful... simple words, yet the meaning of it should be treasured by all... Here. I love Chitose.

but then at the graveyard scene... I'm afraid of Chitose. He sure does sound scary. Like he can kill someone. Scaaarrryyyyy~~~

Then Kazuya's lesson resuming with Baku-sensei. *nod nods* yep. Knowing about toy safety is very important especially when you're in such a business. And knowing the duties of a host is important too. I just hope and hope that Kazuya's clients arn't those weird type. He's bad enough handling normal people... much less weird people... And what the hell was with that arson-fetish dude... o_O mojorly weird!!!
I find bestiality, nac---(that fetish of dead people) then there's the fetish of urine play and shit play... all those are weird too... beyond normal... aaaaaarrgh im getting shivers just thinking of it...

But yah. I like Baku-sensei's lessons. It's really important to know the difference of, a butt plug and a vib, for example. else... don’t expect anyone to sympathize with you. yeah~

"each room in Opiate... has standardized equipments".... this sound sooooo text book XD . Reminds me of this japanese yaoi manga, about a school of sorts, that trains 'hosts, seme and uke'... Kinky kinky *rubs hands* and definitely not your usual 'hotel room' eh. hehehehe~~~

I got a bit confused as to whom was talking at first... but got the hang of it after re-reading it a second time.
I think it's coz Mr. and Mrs. Asami weren't given proper introductions during that scene.

I'm taking that, Asami Fuyuu is that 'girl in the photo'. and that Chitose, is Asami Chitose, and he's Fuyuu's brother. Something like that?
She sure doesn't mind Chitose's occupation. And if mama and papa Asami are so worried about tradition, why not marry Chitose off to Takahiro, (for show sake.) XD
I think Chitose would be more willing to that idea, even thou it's just a cover...


And then. we have Konbayoshi Takahiro's promise to Chitose.... dun dun dun.... WHAT IS THAT PROMISE EH?!
"I will take care of you for the rest of my life~~~~ *runs off into the sunset*"

and just whom exactly is this uncle... definitely not that guy from france...
this uncle... my Konbayoshi senior... is chitose's first master? he is the owner of Opiate before Takahiro... haaaaa... what a mystery that is...

but at least... from the looks of things...
I don't think that Chitose and Takahiro has a, extremely intimate relationship...
I'm guessing the do love each other, and care for each other a whole lot...
But somehow, the chemistry between the two, are more of like siblings... Or deep friendship, or comradeship... As thou they both went through a very trying experience together, therefore they can understand each other best.

But as for true love. or stuff like that... I don't think that's the case, for those two...

Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part... because...

Eeehh, so was that dude Takumi's ex lover or someone related to him? Dunno if I can imagine Takumi as seme to that old minister so does that mean he was uke in that relationship? Mnn, now that's a sexy thought. I'd like to see more of hunky Ren if you could and why he doesn't get along with Bakusui, please.=)
