I like the start to this story. What a scary situation. I am sure you will explain more about Byron's charges in the next chapter. It seems strange that they would charge him with the murder of someone he has not met or spoken to. Maybe Byron's accuser is someone who is jealous of him for some reason. I hope Byron's dragon friend will come rescue him from the prison.
