Oh. My mind is blown. o.o I wasn't expecting Mihai's father to be the General. I also don't trust Vahan now. What if he's behind everything and playing the loyal guard just for show? <.<

But, if anything, I can't wait to see the Prince in a brothel. :'D Oh the lulz.

I love the affection that is slowly building between them and how adorably nervous they are to show it. Interesting to hear more about their backgrounds. So many twists!

Poor Gerulf. Imagine having to grow up as the son of an infamous serial killer and rapist. I am surprised that he was able to confess such a thing. I have to go back and look up passages where General Andel was mentioned. I feel like he was mentioned before in the story. I just hope Gerulf did not sleep with him - LOL. It seems like Prince Mihai has gotten the worst of everything. His mother dared to produce an illegitimate child and now they have him trapped in the palace with people trying to kill him. Maybe they should start looking at the list of people who do know that Mihai is not the king's son. That is obviously where they will find the person who wants to kill him. I blame the queen for this horrible situation. It is obvious that Mihai's brothers are going to try to get rid of him if one of them should ever come to power. It seems like Mihai needs to get out of the palace if he wants to survive all this intrigue.

Lovely addition to an already very interesting story. You are clearly a very diligent writer and your efforts are certainly paying off with this well written and highly entertaining piece. I always enjoy finding a new posting available. Thanks for a highly readable tale thus far... 'Purr

Really enjoyed the tender scene between Gerulf and the prince. As they reveal more and more, will they rely and trust each other more? Will it turn to love??

I don't know where you're taking this story..how will their relathionship work...can it work at all...

Have been reading this again... and have just been struck by some intrigue... maybe the maester is Mihail's father? which might explain the mask... covering his face to hide his similarity to Mihail's face... and the way he hunted away the other men that the prince hired... he could tell that they weren't suitable for him... were not good enough or just plain bad news... and he was being a caring father? lol
And he can sense that Geroff is different from the others and so he is allowing him to stay?
but then... maybe this is hilariously so far from the mark... after all, wouldn't the maester want to protect Mihail a bit more... rather than let him be a sitting duck amidst all of the assassination attempts... maybe i am really wrong with my sudden suspicion?
Either way, this story is even more amazing then i remember it!
